(Minghui.org) Ten Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province residents are facing trial for their faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

The ten practitioners, including Mr. Wang Nanfang, Mr. Zhou Shuyou, Mr. Wang Zexing, Ms. Hu Fengju, Ms. Hu Mingli, Mr. Liu Haitao, Mr. Wang Guogang (previously erroneously reported as Wang Guozhong), Ms. Huang Yuping, Ms. Li Suqin (previously erroneously reported as Li Shuqin), and Ms. Lai Chunlian, were arrested on July 12, 2024, by officers from the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Department, the Fushun City Police Department and the Qingyuan County Police Department. The first five practitioners were kept in custody and had their arrests approved, and the other five were released on bail.

On the afternoon of October 14, 2024, the five practitioners who were previously out on bail were summoned to the Wanghua District Procuratorate and told that they were not allowed to travel out of town and that they could start to hire lawyers to represent them.

Minghui.org recently confirmed that all ten practitioners had been indicted by prosecutors Wang Jun and Wang Qichen of the Wanghua District Procuratorate. All practitioners received their indictments on February 20, 2025. Judge Gang Jia of the Wanghua District Court has been assigned to their case.
