Ms. Sun Shuzhen, of Tieling City, Liaoning Province, was arrested at an unknown time and later sentenced to five years for her faith in Falun Gong.

While serving time at the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison, Ms. Sun was forced to either stand motionless or do hard labor for long hours every day. Section chief Guo also barred her from purchasing daily necessities. She sometimes didn’t even have toilet paper to use and had to use rough wrapping paper.

Ms. Sun later developed high blood pressure and exhibited stroke symptoms. Division head Wu Li carried her on his back and into her family’s car. She later died while still on parole (exact time unknown).
