The Power of Sending Righteous Thoughts

(Minghui.org) I’m 69 years old and I’ve practiced Falun Dafa for more than 20 years.

One sunny Sunday morning a few years ago, my husband hurried home and told me, “Go and have a look. The small square on the pedestrian street is full of display boards with contents that slander Dafa.” I immediately notified the other practitioners.

I went to the square and saw display boards that had messages slandering Dafa to mislead people. Police, 610 Office staff, and plainclothes officers stood next to them. Several practitioners came. We looked at the boards and nodded knowingly. Some practitioners sat on the steps in front of the store across from the boards, while others walked around them. We all sent out powerful righteous thoughts to completely disintegrate all evil factors that persecute Dafa and mislead sentient beings. While I sent forth righteous thoughts, I clearly felt Master’s blessing, and the energy field was very strong.

Because it was Sunday and the weather was good, many people were shopping. Some policemen began complaining of headaches, and others hurried to the toilet. About ten minutes later, a strong wind suddenly blew the boards away. The police and the staff ran after them. One 610 Office staff looked at us. We weren’t afraid, but he seemed to understand something was happening and he hurried away. The display boards were never again put up in the square.

Several Practitioners Seized

Two female practitioners, Ailing and Baoqin, went to clarify the truth in the countryside in the fall of 2014. They were reported, seized, and escorted to the local police station. Their homes were illegally searched. When the police searched Baoqin’s home, her sister and another senior practitioner who came to visit her, were surfing the Internet by getting around the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) information blockade. Police took them away, searched the senior practitioner’s home and took her personal belongings. Four practitioners were detained in the local detention center.

After we heard the news, we felt that the atmosphere around us was oppressive, tense, and terrifying. Even though we were afraid and it was difficult, we knew we had to do something. We immediately notified local practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts, collect information about the perpetrators, and expose them on Minghui.org. I went to see another practitioner and asked her to accompany me to meet the senior practitioner’s husband and encourage him to go to the police station to request his wife’s release. The practitioner said, “I’ll send forth righteous thoughts at home. I’m frightened and I don’t want to go.” I smiled and said, “Don’t be afraid. We haven’t done anything bad. You and I can keep each other company. It will be more convenient for two women to go.” She then said, “Let’s send forth righteous thoughts first.” I agreed and we sent forth righteous thoughts for a while before we went to the practitioner’s home.

After some twists and turns, we found the senior practitioner’s husband and explained why his wife was detained. He understood the truth and supported his wife’s cultivation. He was angry and said, “Is it illegal to visit a neighbor? The police break the law.” He took out his cell phone and called the deputy director of the police station, and said, “What crime did my wife commit by visiting a neighbor? Your police officers lied and said she was taken away because she was distributing information about Falun Dafa. If anything bad happens to her, I’ll never forgive you. Release her immediately.”

Practitioners outside China also called the police and clarified the truth. Local practitioners sent a message to the newly appointed head of the Domestic Security Division to clarify the truth. This man was deeply indoctrinated by the CCP. Not only did he not listen to the truth, but he also cursed and slandered Dafa when he replied to the message.

When Ailing clarified the truth to the head of the Domestic Security Division, he grabbed her hair and beat her. He yelled, “I’m the new head. I’ll give each of you practitioners my business card. I’m not afraid of retribution. If I had a gun, I’d kill all of you.” He was very arrogant, but we weren’t afraid, because we have Master and Dafa.

Master taught us,

“Actually, every Dafa disciple has abilities. It is just that the abilities don’t manifest in the surface dimension, which leads people to think that they lack them. But regardless of whether they can manifest in the surface dimension, when a person’s True Thoughts come forth they are very powerful. Since we cultivate in a righteous Fa, we should care for and save beings and the people of the world who are good. So we should act with goodness in everything we do. Yet removing the evil beings that manipulate people into damaging humankind is also an act of protecting humankind and sentient beings. Dafa is spreading widely, saving all sentient beings. Although those evil beings who are completely unsalvageable can’t be saved, they nevertheless cannot be allowed to do evil without end and thus persecute Dafa and its students or the people of the world. By eliminating evil one is thus doing Fa-rectification, and it is saving the world’s people and sentient beings.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful,” in The Essentials of Diligent Progress II)

I discussed the situation with the other practitioners and we decided to send forth righteous thoughts for three days regarding the four practitioners’ detention and the actions of the Domestic Security Division head.

The Domestic Security Head Changes His Mind

The other practitioners and I went to a senior practitioner’s home, and sent righteous thoughts. I knew from the Fa that the police were being manipulated by the old forces. Only by eliminating these negative factors could we stop the persecution and save people. We had no hatred or resentment, only compassion and the wish to save the Domestic Security Division head. I asked Master to help us. The atmosphere was peaceful.

On the afternoon of the third day, the senor practitioner’s son-in-law came. He understood the truth and supported his mother-in-law practicing Falun Dafa. He knew the police station staff and often went there. As soon as he entered the room he said, “That’s why! It’s you!” A practitioner hurriedly asked him what was going on. He said, “The Domestic Security Division head keeps walking around the police station with his hands on his head and keeps saying, ‘I can’t take it!.’ He even asked the director to give him another job. He said that if he wasn’t reassigned he would leave. So it was you who sent forth righteous thoughts!”

We knew that Master sent him to tell us this, and we were very encouraged. That afternoon, someone saw a shiny, large object falling from the sky east of our area. Many people hurried there to see what it was, but when they got there, they saw a deep pit. This incident caused a sensation in the local police station and greatly frightened them.

Ailing was released after the senior practitioner’s family also went to the police station multiple times to ask for her release. She later developed a false appearance of illness karma, and was released. Baoqin and her sister were still detained in the detention center. The Domestic Security Division head was transferred to another department as a section chief.

The Prosecutor’s Attitude Changed

The case against Baoqin and her sister (a practitioner) was sent to the procuratorate. Their family hired a lawyer in Beijing for them, but Baoqin declined. So the lawyer was hired for her sister. I was about to go see the lawyer when practitioner Caixin came. She asked me, “Is the lawyer here?” I said, “Yes, I’m about to go see him.” I said, “We hired him, but we have to take the lead and ask him to cooperate with us in getting people back and saving people.” Caixin said, “I’ll go with you.”

We knew this lawyer because we hired him before. I said, “This time, we don’t want you to defend practitioners in court.” He asked, “Then why did you hire me?” I said, “Help us get practitioners released. Practitioners in China and abroad called the prosecutor (head of the prosecution department) to clarify the truth. I want you to talk to him from a legal perspective.” The lawyer hesitated and said, “Last time I came, he made things difficult for me in court and even went to my law firm and threatened to revoke my license.” I said, “This time it’s different. The Fa-rectification process is different, and there are fewer evil factors.” The lawyer said he would try.

After the lawyer left, Caixin and I sent righteous thoughts for him, the prosecutor, and others for an entire afternoon. That evening, Caixin and I went to see the lawyer again. The lawyer was pleased to see us and said, “It’s different now. The prosecutor’s attitude is different. He even made me a cup of tea. I talked to him a lot about legal matters and told him that it’s not illegal to practice Falun Dafa. The prosecutor finally agreed to release the two people due to insufficient evidence. You should prepare to receive them.” I said happily, “That’s great. Thank you!”

Baoqin’s sister was released. So three of the four practitioners who were detained were released. Unfortunately, Baoqin was sentenced to prison. We collected the prosecutor’s information again, and a practitioner sent him a message to clarify the truth. The prosecutor was also transferred out of the Public Prosecution Department and became the head of another department. Under Dafa’s compassion and the power of practitioners’ righteous thoughts, the Domestic Security Division head and the prosecutor were moved from their dangerous positions.

Master gave Fa-rectification period practitioners the ability to send forth righteous thoughts, which helps us avoid danger and disaster and so we can help sentient beings escape danger. Thank you, Master!

We practitioners must study the Fa more, cultivate ourselves well, truly practice, and make full use of the abilities given to us by Master to help Master in the Fa-rectification eliminate the negative elements and save more sentient beings.
