Spreading Truth and Goodness Despite Adversity

(Minghui.org) Fellow practitioners and I often distribute informational materials about Falun Dafa in our residential community. During the COVID pandemic, when most people stayed home, we prepared and distributed materials such as, “Wishing You Peace” and “Heaven’s Blessings.” These are visually appealing and were well-received by the public.

We devised a simple way of hanging the materials from strings, so passersby could easily see them. For adhesive posters, we prepped them by peeling a corner in advance, making it quick and easy to affix them near doorways or elevator entrances. When the COVID restrictions were lifted and we could leave the community, we distributed materials to nearby neighborhoods or during mandatory COVID testing events. When we couldn’t leave our community, we distributed materials door-to-door, and surprisingly, few people discarded them. By the time mandatory testing resumed, most residents already gained some understanding of the truth, and nearly everyone we spoke to agreed to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

A Property Manager’s Support Brings Him Blessings

Our community’s property manager knows a fellow practitioner, and he’s helped us. I make it a point to pay all of my fees early each year, avoiding the need for staff to remind me, which also helps establish a positive rapport for future conversations.

One day, after sending righteous thoughts, I went to pay my fees. The property manager smiled and said, “If all residents were like you, we wouldn’t need to chase them down and remind them to pay!” I replied, “I practice Falun Dafa. Our Master taught us to think of others first. I always pay early so you have fewer hassles. Everyone has it tough these days.”

He said it was difficult to collect dues. Some residents refused to pay for years, and were rude when he reminded them. I used this opportunity to explain the importance of withdrawing from the CCP for safety and peace of mind. He listened attentively, and then agreed to renounce his ties to the CCP.

I gave him a Falun Dafa amulet. He was deeply touched. He said it was beautiful and asked for more to share with his family. I gave him additional amulets a few days later, and he happily thanked me because he fully understood their significance.

During the pandemic, I gave the property manager a USB drive which had truth-clarification content, and I urged him to share it with others. He watched it and expressed criticism for the CCP’s actions and its role in the pandemic. His positive influence extended to the security staff, who also accepted the materials and carried the amulets for protection.

One memorable story involved a resident asking for an amulet, but I had none left. I asked a security guard if I could borrow his, but he refused, saying, “I can’t give it away! I interact with so many people every day; I need it to keep me safe!” I felt his earnestness reflected the residents’ feeling that the amulets protected them.

The property manager’s family also came to understand the truth, and his son’s business flourished.

Treating Everyone with Kindness

The community cleaning staff also came to understand the truth. We treated them as family, giving them clothes and small gifts, which made them more open to learning about Falun Dafa. After understanding the truth, they refused to remove the posters or materials we distributed, and some were untouched for years.

During strict lockdowns, the security guards allowed us to freely enter and leave. Their support and respect for our efforts helped them survive the pandemic.

Countless people who have embraced the truth have been blessed, while those who continue to persecute good people often face tragedies. Every individual has a choice: to align with morality and goodness or to remain complicit with a regime that harms people.

I hope more people will recognize the truth, renounce their ties to the CCP, and choose a brighter, safer future. A single thought of kindness toward Falun Dafa can bring people blessings and peace.
