(Minghui.org) Greetings, Master, and greetings, fellow practitioners. I would like to talk about using international events and artistic works to reveal the truth about forced organ harvesting to the general public.
Use International Events to Reveal the Truth
Master told us:
“It involves crimes never committed before on this planet: audacious to the extreme, they actually seize the organs of living Dafa disciples, and the number who’ve been brutalized is enormous. But know that all gods in the cosmic body are witnessing these crimes!” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Western U.S. Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XII)
Manipulated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), major hospitals in China have, over the past two decades, vigorously promoted quick and convenient organ transplants to patients outside of China. This has led many foreigners to spend large amounts of money traveling to China for organ transplants. The vast majority of these organs come from Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) practitioners.
The forced harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners continues to this day. To raise awareness of the truth about live organ harvesting, NGOs (non-government organizations) from Japan, Taiwan, the United States, South Korea, and France held an online international summit in September 2021, inviting over 35 international experts in the fields of medicine, law, politics, the media, and policy-making to discuss the horror of live organ harvesting and how to prevent it.
The five NGOs jointly issued a “World Declaration to Combat and Prevent Live Organ Harvesting,” offering specific recommendations for the international community to end this cruelty committed by the CCP. A separate international summit for nursing experts was held in November 2022 to further discuss this issue, attracting the attention of the medical community.
The “World Declaration to Combat and Prevent Organ Harvesting” specifically recommends that each country enact it own laws to prohibit its citizens from going to China for organ transplants. Several nations have already adopted this recommendation, with the United Kingdom and Canada having amended their legislation, which has now taken effect.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the “Stop Organ Harvesting Act” and the “Falun Gong Protection Act” in May 2025. In addition, Taiwan’s anti-organ harvesting bill has also passed the first and second readings.
We hope Japan will quickly enact laws prohibiting Japanese from traveling to China for organ transplants. This will not only reduce the risk of Falun Gong practitioners being subjected to forced organ harvesting, but also prevent Japanese patients from committing crimes.
I was fortunate to find a another practitioner who is very experienced in clarifying the truth to members of legislative bodies. (In Japan, our legislature is called the National Diet.) According to her, clarifying the truth to lawmakers often encounters significant interference, as that is where the CCP least wants us to be. She mentioned that she sometimes experiences headaches, eye pain, and general discomfort, and these symptoms vary from person to person, so we must send forth righteous thoughts.
With the help of this practitioner, we began presenting information about the “World Declaration to Combat and Prevent Live Organ Harvesting” to members of the National Diet at the end of 2022. We located Japanese practitioners to make phone appointments and print materials and found several willing to join us in our efforts.
Japanese and Chinese practitioners coordinated their efforts: Some engaged with secretaries, others distributed materials, and some focused on sending forth righteous thoughts.
Except for the months surrounding Shen Yun performances and other events, we maintained this routine nearly every day, sometimes spending six or seven hours at the Diet. Each practitioner brought his or her unique strengths to the table. By cultivating and learning from each other, I—who had no prior experience—gradually learned how to communicate effectively and coordinate with the team.
While we are at the Diet, we sometimes encounter lawmakers in the halls returning to their offices. At such moments, we directly share the truth with them. Some lawmakers even sit down to listen attentively and express their support. Thankful for Master’s arrangement, even though we were exhausted from running around all day carrying bundles of truth clarifying materials, our gratitude always outweighed the physical fatigue.
Before visiting lawmakers’ offices, I would look into their backgrounds. I learned that Diet members are often lawyers, doctors, company executives, accountants, university professors, asset managers, or Rotary Club members. Many have studied abroad, possessing not only extensive knowledge but also significant social standing.
Then it dawned on me: Isn’t the National Diet the very heart of Japan? It governs the nation’s economy, judicial system, education, transportation, and security. And this heart is made up of members of Japan’s mainstream society. I realized the Diet is a microcosm of Japan’s mainstream society and getting through to the Diet means getting through to Japan’s mainstream society, which thus opens the door for Shen Yun. That’s why I felt once again that informing members of the Diet about the true situation of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China is truly, important—and absolutely necessary.
Although we visited over 400 congressional offices in 2023 and again in 2024, and made another round in May this year, we still haven’t been able to reach every office. Beyond the Japan-Taiwan symposium held in June, we will continue engaging with Japanese lawmakers through international events to keep sharing the truth.
Using Artwork to Reveal the Truth
To inform the general public about the truth behind live organ harvesting, we held our first poster exhibition focusing on the CCP’s live organ harvesting in November 2022. Thanks to the cooperation of fellow practitioners across Japan, we held numerous poster exhibitions starting in February 2023, moving from Hokkaido southward to Kanto, Kansai, and then on to Hiroshima and Fukuoka.
These exhibitions featured screenings of documentaries that explained the truth behind forced organ harvesting, informational materials that were given to those present, and Q&A sessions and interactions. These efforts were aimed at raising public awareness of the CCP’s heinous crime of forced organ harvesting for profit.
This traveling exhibition featured artistic designs that would appeal to Japanese audiences and aimed primarily at raising awareness about the truth of forced organ harvesting among the younger generations. The poster works were selected from an international open competition, attracting over 1,000 entries from more than 70 countries worldwide.
In 2020, an art student studying in Hokkaido wanted to enter the competition, so she researched materials related to the theme and learned in detail about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Realizing that even children were now becoming victims, she decided to use children as the subject for her entry. After she shared these facts with her family, her sister quickly offered, “Then let my child be your model.” Her work later won the Silver Prize. The story behind this award-winning piece was shared with me by the Silver Prize winner herself.
I came to realize that, as long as we take action, Master will bring those with predestined connections to us. At every poster exhibition, many visitors tell us they hope such events will be held more frequently and on a larger scale. Last year, we held one at the Tokyo Art Theater in Ikebukuro. After viewing the exhibition, two university students remarked that they learned more at this exhibition than in their university classrooms—truly an invaluable social learning experience. They both left full-page reflections.
The poster exhibition held in Toshima Ward this September lasted only two days, yet despite the rain, 200 people attended. One couple even traveled three and a half hours by bullet train from Nagano Prefecture specifically to see it.
Last year’s three-day exhibition in Nakano Ward drew 417 visitors, while the Tokyo Art Theater in Ikebukuro welcomed over 600. I’ve noticed that the more exhibitions we hold, the more people come.
I observed people who, after viewing the posters and learning the facts, left the venue looking refreshed, and their expressions seemed lighter. I realized that we cannot continue to just wait for people to come to our exhibitions. We must be more proactive and do more to seek out individuals to discuss forced organ harvesting and organ transplants.
We must first tell them the truth, then collaborate to reach broader audiences. Japan has a population of over 100 million, which means that countless numbers of people are still waiting to learn the facts. That means that, just as cultivation practice demands unwavering dedication, we cannot slack off in our efforts.
Thank you, fellow practitioners!
Thank you, Master!
