My Elderly Father Escaped a Potentially Fatal Accident

(Minghui.org) I have gone from being a sickly person to being completely healthy since I began practicing Falun Dafa. My whole family has witnessed the wonder of Falun Dafa.

My father is over 80 years old. I encourage my father to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good,” and he does so every day. Sometimes when my father comes to my house, he sees the Dafa flyers I haven't distributed yet and takes them home to do it for me. I tell him, “Dad, you’re doing a good deed, saving people, and you will be blessed.”

I received a call from a friend that my father was in a car accident at 5:30 p.m. on September 25, 2024. I rushed to the scene of the accident, which was more than ten kilometers from home (just over 6 miles). Along the way, I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to save my father.

I felt relieved when I arrived at the scene and saw my father sitting on a bridge. My father’s forehead was scraped, his right index finger was swollen, and his arms and thighs had scratches, however he was talking and walking normally. My father said, “It’s okay, let the bus go, there are still many passengers waiting to go home.”

The bus driver, all the passengers, and the onlookers were stunned. How could an 80-year-old man be fine after being knocked down by a bus? The driver was afraid of being held accountable in the future, so he asked my father, to put it in writing, that he promised he would not sue him. My father said, “Don’t worry, I know it’s not easy for you to make a living, I’m writing a letter to guarantee that you are not held liable.”

When my father was writing the letter, I noticed that the front of the bus had been smashed into a large pit more than 20 cm long and more than 10 cm wide. According to the passengers on the bus, at the time of the accident, my father was knocked more than four meters away (over 13 feet). The driver kept telling my father, “You are such a good person, so kind.”

Then the driver insisted on giving my father 500 yuan so that he could go to the hospital for a checkup. My father refused. Believing that my father must be injured in some way, the driver and the passengers insisted that he go to the hospital, so we did. Results at the hospital indicated that my father only had superficial injuries. He was clear-headed and had no trouble moving. The doctor recommended inpatient observation and treatment, but my father insisted that was not necessary. My father told me, “I believe in Falun Dafa and your Master. I will be fine. Let’s go home.”

Whenever this subject is brought up, my father would say: “This is amazing. Master Li saved my life. When the accident happened, I felt like there was a wall between me and the bus. The sound of the impact was so deafening, like thunder.”

“I'm an 80-year-old man, made of flesh and blood, and I was hit by a bus and thrown that far. I’m still alive and healthy, but the bus had such a big dent! How is that possible? This is because I sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ every day. It was Dafa and Master Li who saved my life!”
