(Minghui.org) On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024 Falun Gong practitioners in Kumamoto, Japan held peaceful protests in front of the Chinese consulates in Nagasaki and Fukuoka. They were calling on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to immediately stop its 25-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They also called on the international community to recognize the nature of the CCP and work together to stop the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners in Kumamoto, Japan held peaceful protests in front of the Chinese consulates in Nagasaki and Fukuoka, on December 31, 2024.

The New Year should be a time for family reunion and celebration. However, since the CCP launched the brutal crackdown of Falun Gong in July 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in China have been detained and lost the right to reunite with their families just for practicing Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and being good people. The CCP launched the genocidal persecution against Falun Gong, and tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners have suffered the tragic fate of death, disability, and even the state-sanctioned organ harvesting.

As night fell, candlelight illuminated banners, mourning the Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death by the CCP during the past 25 years. The candlelight silently spoke of justice and conscience, and conveyed the call for awakening to the world.

The spokesperson of the event said, “We have been here for 25 years because the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong has never stopped, and it has intensified and become more and more crazy. As long as this persecution does not end, we will insist on exposing the true face of the CCP, awakening the justice and conscience of the world, and working together to stop the persecution.”

He also added, “In June of this year, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, which imposes sanctions on those responsible for participating in or assisting the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. I hope that people of justice in the international community can further recognize the nature of the CCP and its harmfulness, as well as work together to stop this human catastrophe as soon as possible.”

Editor’s note on the Falun Gong Protection Act

On June 25, 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, which will penalize those who participate in the persecution of Falun Gong. This news surprised many Chinese tourists. Those who participate in the persecution will be denied entry to the United States, their assets in the states will be frozen, and they will face criminal lawsuits. This news is spread by word of mouth in China by Chinese tourists who know the truth, and will serve as a warning to more people who participate in the persecution of Falun Gong.

As early as February 4, 2022, the British House of Lords debated two amendments to the Human Tissue Act 2004. Amendments No. 265 and No. 282 proposed by Lord Philip Hunt of Kings Heath, a member of the House of Lords, with the aim to ensure that British citizens do not travel to China and other countries for organ transplants, and to stop the traveling exhibition of corpses from China to prevent British citizens from becoming accomplices of the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. The two amendments have been supported by many members of parliament. Among them, Lord Alton of Liverpool thanked Lord Hunt for his unremitting efforts. He condemned the former CCP head Jiang Zemin for setting up the 610 Office and ordering the eradication of Falun Gong, making this group the main victims of forced organ harvesting.

The Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R. 4132) was introduced by U.S. Congressman Scott Perry in 2023. The bill is the first time that the U.S. Congress has made a binding commitment to take strong legal action against the persecution and live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, making Falun Gong the core of the legislation.
