Consideration for Others Made all the Difference

(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) at the end of 1998, and I’m now in my 60s. I made it to this day because of Master’s merciful protection.

As I continue to study the Fa, my understanding shifted from perceptual to a rational. As I gradually eliminated my attachments my xinxing improved. My sense of mission as a Falun Dafa practitioner grows even stronger, as does my sense of urgency.

Keeping Master’s teachings in mind, I seized various opportunities to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa and tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, share the beauty of Dafa, and pass on Dafa’s blessings.

I regard clarifying the truth and helping people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as my top priorities, and I feel empty if I go a day without doing them. Saving people is my mission, and it brings me happiness and fulfillment. I would like to tell you about some of my experiences.

One Sunday morning, after paying my respects to Master, I got on my electric tricycle and set out to clarify the facts to people. However, even though I sent righteous thoughts along the way, I was unable to persuade a single person to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I felt frustrated.

It was nearly noon so I needed to return home and prepare lunch. I reminded myself that my children were home today and that I should buy some meat at the market to make a special meal.

I bought some meat and headed back home. I parked my tricycle and carried the package upstairs. I began to feel uneasy because the bag felt heavy.

When I entered the apartment, I saw my son in the living room. I asked him to bring the scale from the kitchen and I weighed the meat. It turned out to be two jin (2.2 lbs) more than what I paid for. My son chuckled and said, “Aren’t you happy with the extra?”

I immediately replied, “As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I must be considerate of others. Running a business is not easy. I must return the money right away.”

My husband said, “It’s almost noon—why don’t you cook lunch first?”

I responded, “No, I must go back and return the money now.”

I left home thinking, “Perhaps I’ll meet some people I can clarify the truth to on the way there.” As I reached the ground floor, I saw a man with whom I exchanged greetings earlier. He asked, “Going out again?”

I replied, “I felt the meat was heavier than I thought, and it turned out to be two jin extra. I must return the money, or I won’t feel comfortable. Running a business is not easy nowadays, and Falun Dafa teaches us to be considerate of others.”

He nodded, “Yes, yes.” I previously clarified the facts to him, and he quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He knew that Falun Dafa is good.

When I arrived at the market, the vendor asked what was wrong. I replied, “You made a mistake.” She was surprised and thought that she accidentally shorted me. Nowadays, if you give someone more, they don’t complain; but if you give them less, they won’t accept it. That’s why the vendor assumed she shorted me.

I said, “Please weigh it again.” It turned out the weight was correct, but she charged me the price for bones—9 yuan ($1.23) per jin instead of 14. I paid her the difference, and she thanked me repeatedly.

The vendor knew the truth about the persecution because I previously clarified the facts to her and gave her truth-clarification materials and calendars. She wholeheartedly agreed that Dafa is good. Her children also quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. As a result, her business was doing better than the stores around her.

Each time I bought meat from her, I paid using truth-clarification bills, and she always accepted them. Today, I handed her the bills and asked her to count them to make sure. She replied, “No need. I trust you.”

A middle-aged woman witnessed our conversation and said she was touched. The vendor told her, “She (referring me) is an old customer of mine. She’s a very honest and kind person.”

I explained, “Falun Dafa teaches us to conduct ourselves according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and to be considerate of others. Master Li taught us, ‘If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it.’(Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

“Besides, doing business is not easy.”

The woman said, “That’s right! I also returned extra change to a vendor.”

I replied, “I could tell that you are a kind person. Heaven favors kind people. I’d like to share something important with you. Given the chaotic state of the world and the recent disasters, Falun Dafa practitioners are advising people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.”

I then clarified the facts about Falun Dafa and explained why it was important for her to make the “Three Withdrawals” (withdrawing from the Communist Party, the Communist Youth League, and/or the Communist Young Pioneers).

She understood and agreed to quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers using an alias. I told her, “Please remember to sincerely recite, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you will have a bright future.” She said she would remember.

As I was walking out of the market, I saw a man. I greeted him, “How are you? It seems we were meant to meet today. Allow me share something important with you.”

He asked, “What important thing?”

I replied, “The cosmic climate is about to change, and the CCP is on the brink of collapse. People are withdrawing from the CCP, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. Which one did you join?”

He said, “I wore a red scarf when I joined the Youth League.”

I said, “Let me help you quit it using an alias.” He agreed and thanked me. I continued, “Please don’t thank me. I’m doing as Falun Dafa’s Master asked. Please thank him.”

He immediately said, “Thank you Falun Dafa’s Master!”

I gave him an amulet and said, “If you say these nine words often, you’ll be safe.” He happily accepted it and thanked me.

On my way home, I saw an older woman pushing a cart. I approached her and said, “Hello, big sister! I’d like to give you an amulet and wish you health, longevity, peace, and joy!” She happily accepted the amulet.

I continued, “Please remember to say the nine words on it, and you will be spared from illness and disasters, and enjoy happiness and prosperity. Let me share some more good news with you: The CCP is about to collapse since it has opposed the people’s will since it came to power. Withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations will bring you a bright future.”

She said, “I wore a red scarf when I was a child.”

I said, “Let me help you quit using the alias ‘Kang Le,’ which means healthy and happy.” She smiled and thanked me happily. People’s joy when they are saved is truly indescribable.

If I hadn’t gone back to the vendor and instead kept the money for my personal gain, I would have missed the opportunity to meet these people. It would have been difficult for Master to arrange another chance for me to cross paths with them. Thank you, Master, for your arrangements in testing my xinxing, while simultaneously allowing me to validate Dafa and help save people!

In my understanding, Master arranged these encounters long ago, and it was able to help save these people because I improved my xinxing.

I’m sharing my truth-clarification experience in order to thank Master for his compassion and mercy! What I’ve done is still far, far from what Master required, and I still have many human attachments, notions, and desires to remove.

In the final moments of Master’s Fa-rectification, I will cherish this opportunity, be diligent in cultivation, do the three things well, and fulfill my mission, so that I can live up to the sacred title of a Fa-rectification Period Dafa Disciple and save more predestined people. Thank you, Master!
