(Minghui.org) Practitioners held events in Brașov and Costinești on August 31 and September 1, 2024 to tell people about Falun Dafa, raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, and collect signatures on three petitions to help end the persecution. Many tourists vacationing in Costinești asked for information about Falun Dafa and the persecution during the event on September 1st.

Falun Dafa Should be Spread Everywhere
A group of young people from Sălaj who were visiting Costinești were interested in Falun Dafa and received leaflets and origami lotus flowers. A young woman and her friend asked where Falun Dafa is practiced in Romania, so that they could learn the exercises. They both said that Falun Dafa was very good and it would be good for more young people who are very caught up in spending time with their phones, to recognize the importance of the moral values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance that are emphasized by Falun Dafa.
Two retired woman in Costinești, one being from Mangalia, were pleasantly surprised to learn that Falun Dafa has been practiced for over 20 years in Romania. One said, “It is the best thing—these values are being promoted and peoples’ spiritual levels are being raised.”
A woman from Bucharest who was visiting Brașov stopped to get an explanation about the practice and principles after picking up a flyer. Looking at the leaflet, she said, “I understand, it’s a practice related to morality. This practice should be spread everywhere. People are very much in need of compassion and tolerance, as opposed to the malice that is so present today among people in society.”
A lady who was vacationing in Costinești said she learned about Falun Dafa from a friend in Italy, and she researched Falun Dafa in detail. She said Falun Dafa, “is a wonderful practice because it is guided by the moral principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which bring benefits in terms of health and behavior.”
She said she was happy that Falun Dafa is practiced in Romania, and said that she read a lot of information about Falun Dafa, and is up to date with what is going on, including the, “sinister organ harvesting from Chinese Falun Dafa practitioners.” Before she left, she wished the Romanian practitioners well in their actions.
Eliminating Communism From the World
Alexandru Lazăr signed three petitions to help stop the persecution during the event in Brașov on September 1, 2024.
Alexandru Lazăr, who lives in Brașov, stopped by the table to sign the petition. A practitioner told him about the persecution in China and the content of the petitions. Alexandru said, “You don’t need much explanation when you read the title of the petition. It’s enough to understand what the purpose of the petitions is, and that you can help save those people and eliminate communism from the world.”
A young man who learned about Falun Dafa and the persecution for the first time during the event Costinești said, “This is something very ugly—the communist regime in China is persecuting moral values, Falun Dafa practitioners, and other people who are attracted to spiritual paths.”
A couple was interested in reading Zhuan Falun during the event in Brașov on August 31, 2024.
A couple from Brașov who lived overseas for more than 40 years returned to visit friends. They took the leaflet and had an interesting discussion with a practitioner because they had learned about Falun Dafa practice in America and knew about the persecution in China. They asked if the blue book Zhuan Falun was still available. The practitioner told them that they could purchase it or access it for free on the website.
Young women were happy to receive the lotus flowers and leaflets practitioners distributed during the event in Costinești.
