(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] The Case Against Ms. Wang Haiyan Submitted to the Court
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Du Caijun Arrested
3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Monitored Around the Clock
4. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Kun Harassed
5. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Qiaoling Monitored by the Police
1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] The Case Against Ms. Wang Haiyan Submitted to the Court
Ms. Wang Haiyan was arrested by officers in Baiyin District on March 8, 2024, after she was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is currently detained in the Baiyin Detention Center. The Baiyin District Procuratorate has indicted her and moved her case to the Baiyin District Court.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Du Caijun Arrested
Ms. Du Caijun was arrested in July or August 2024.
3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Monitored Around the Clock
Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu from Chaoyang District has been under 24-hour surveillance since August 30, 2024. As soon as she leaves home, there will be someone who follows her and takes her photo. The police officers and local community staff members harassed her at home on September 3, 2024.
4. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Kun Harassed
Ms. Li Kun, 82, was harassed at home by four police officers on the afternoon of July 16, 2024. The police confiscated dozens of Falun Gong books and a media player. She was also fined 5,000 yuan.
5. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Qiaoling Monitored by the Police
Ms. Yang Qiaoling noticed she was followed by a police car when she went out on the afternoon of August 15, 2024. She managed to escape.
A police car was seen parking outside of her home on the morning of August 18, 2024 to monitor her.
