(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a signature collection activity at Morinomiya Station in Kansai, from August 17 to August 22, 2024, calling to rescue Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Yiwen’s mother, Wang Guaiyan. Many people condemned the persecution and signed the petition.
Despite the heat, practitioners held up display boards and told passersby about the CCP’s crimes, especially the atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners. Many people were touched and immediately signed the petition. They said that they were concerned about the persecution and told practitioners to keep up their great efforts.
Ever since Zhang’s mother was arrested for practicing Falun Dafa, people in Japan and around the world have been calling for her release. Several members of the Japanese parliament attended practitioners’ rally on July 20, when Zhang gave a speech about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of her mother.

Machico, a local resident, signed the petition after hearing about the persecution. She said that she loved traditional Chinese culture. When she was young, she was saddened to hear that the Chinese Communist Party destroyed traditional culture. She was appalled by the CCP’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners, and hopes that such cruelty will stop immediately.

Several people said that it was irrational to persecute such a peaceful group of practitioners in any civilized society. Many people, young and old, said they wished to make their contribution to help those suffering from the persecution. After hearing about the Falun Gong Protection Act passed by the U.S. House of Representatives in June of this year, people said that they would like to see Japan take a similar stand.
