(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event in Brest, France on September 7, 2024, to tell people about Falun Dafa and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual discipline. They also collected signatures on a petition calling for the CCP’s brutality to end.

Brest is located at the western end of Brittany and is the second largest military port in France. It has a strong scientific and cultural atmosphere directly related to the ocean and is also an important college town.
There was a parade in the city center that afternoon, and people read practitioners’ display boards. Many students, especially young girls from Djibouti and Lebanon, learned about Falun Dafa. People took flyers and signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution.
After she read the information, a woman went to sign the petition. She said, “I am very concerned about organ donation. This kind of thing (live organ harvesting) is really terrible.” She opposes communism, which she said deprives people of their freedom.
After reading the information on the display boards, Pascale said she disliked the Chinese government. She said, “Do you know the Confucius Institute? It’s just a name, but the CCP is behind it. It funds several cultural institutions in Brest, including La Passerelle (Contemporary Art Center), so that they (the CCP) can enter the board of directors. I know Sweden closed all the Confucius Institutes, and we must take action on this (Confucius Institute)!”
She said the current social atmosphere was depressing. A practitioner explained that through the teachings of Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, life can become peaceful. She nodded in agreement.
A young man read the display boards carefully. He compared the CCP’s organ harvesting to the Nazi’s use of concentration camps and experiments on humans during World War II. He condemned the CCP for inflicting the most cruel torture on humans, and said that was why he signed the petition.
A young woman from Brest said she was indignant about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and hoped it would end soon.
