(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Yalan Arrested
9. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Wang Peichao Arrested and Detained
1. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Faces Indictment
Ms. Chen Yanqiu from Gaoxin District has been detained in the Shuangfengsi Detention Center since she was arrested on July 12, 2024. Her case has been submitted to the Chengde County Procuratorate by the Chengde County Police Department.
2. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Li Yilong Arrested
Mr. Li Yilong was arrested at his workplace by officers from the Chaisang District Police Department on the morning of August 9, 2024.
3. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Jinxiang Arrested
Ms. Liu Jinxiang was arrested by officers from the Xinjiannan Road Police Station. She was beaten in the police station and has been coughing since. Her arrest has been approved.
4. [Loudi City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wu Yu Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wu Yu and another practitioner were arrested at his home by officers from the Louxing District Police Department on July 22, 2024. Mr. Wu’s Falun Gong books, informational materials, and computer were confiscated. Mr. Wu was taken to a detention center and the other practitioner to a lockup.
5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Xiulian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Ma Xiulian, 78, was reported to police for distributing Falun Gong materials and arrested on August 5, 2024. Her home was ransacked. It is unknown where she is detained.
6. [Wuyuan County, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Guoliang Forced to Live Away from Home to Avoid Persecution
Mr. Wang Guoliang from Urad Middle Banner of Bayannur City was arrested by officers from the Wuyuan County Police Department in 2023 for distributing Falun Gong materials. He was released the next day and given six months of house arrest.
The police submitted Mr. Wang’s case to the Wuyuan County Procuratorate in the first half of 2024. He has been forced to live away from home to avoid being sentenced.
7. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuqing in Critical Condition
Ms. Zhao Xiuqing, 78, was arrested at home by officers from the Guanyue Street Police Station on the afternoon of March 24, 2024. Her son Mr. Guo Zongying, 44, who shared the residence with her, tried to stop the police from taking away her Falun Gong books and over 50,000 yuan in cash. During the protest, he fell from the fourth floor. Ms. Zhao passed out after seeing her son fall.
Ms. Zhao and her son were both taken to the ICU of Jiamusi City Second Hospital. Ms. Zhao had a cerebral hemorrhage and Mr. Guo had a comminuted fracture. Both of them returned home on April 25, 2024. They owed 260,000 yuan in medical expenses.
Four unidentified people came to their home at 9 a.m. on April 29, 2024, and pressed Mr. Guo to use his home equity to pay for the medical bills. Mr. Guo was rejected and he died shortly later that morning.
Ms. Zhao was taken back to the Yilan County Hospital shortly after and has been staying there for four months. She is still wearing a sputum tube, unable to talk or eat.
8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Yalan Arrested
Ms. Hu Yalan from Acheng District, 78, was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in a park and arrested by six officers from the Hedong Police Station in mid-July 2024. She refused to sign her case document. In order to collect information against her, the police searched her younger sister’s and her son’s homes.
9. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Wang Peichao Arrested and Detained
Wang Peichao was arrested by officers from the Longxin Police Station on March 16, 2024, for distributing cards printed with “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Wang’s home was ransacked. Wang was detained for 15 days.
