(Minghui.org) The Netherlands is a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer. On two recent Saturdays, August 3 and 10, 2024, practitioners held information days in Amstelveen and Haarlem to tell people about Falun Dafa and how the spiritual discipline is persecuted in China.
Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) put forth a petition to the G7+7 countries, urging their governments to take action to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crime of harvesting organs from Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioners in the Netherlands collected signatures to support this petition.
Amstelveen in northern Holland is part of Amsterdam’s metropolitan area. On August 3 in Amstelveen’s busy commercial area, practitioners set up display boards that featured information about the exercises and the ongoing persecution. They handed out flyers and told people about the persecution. Many people signed the petition, which will be submitted to the G7+7, to end the crime of organ harvesting.

After she heard how practitioners in China are tortured and subjected to forced organ harvesting, a woman hugged a practitioner and expressing her sympathy.
A girl who signed the petition said she’d already spoken with practitioners in Amsterdam. She expressed her support for their efforts to expose the persecution and encouraged her friends to do the same.
Event in Haarlem
The capital of North Holland, Haarlem is a vibrant city with a long, rich history. At their event on August 10, practitioners demonstrated the exercises and told people about Falun Dafa. Many people stopped and talked with them to learn more.

Mr. Mantijn Mencam said he had spoken to practitioners during an event they held in The Hague. Now he was with his father in Haarlem. After signing his name, his father asked for a flyer in Dutch so he could learn about Falun Dafa.

It Makes No Sense to Persecute Such a Peaceful Practice
Frank Kannbee and his friend looked at the pictures showing the torture practitioners are subjected to and asked why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa. When they learned that it was simply because the number of practitioners exceeded the number of Communist Party members, Frank pointed to practitioners peacefully meditating behind the torture display and said, “It’s hard to believe that there’s anything wrong with such a peaceful practice; the persecution is completely senseless!” Both of them signed the petition to end the forced organ harvesting. They said they were happy to do something to help stop the persecution.

Many people learned about Falun Dafa and said they were drawn to the peaceful exercises. Some asked if practitioners would return the next day. An elderly Chinese couple asked where they could learn the practice and carefully placed the flyer with information about free classes in their bag.
Patrolling police officers rolled down their windows to say hello. An officer who spoke Chinese told practitioners, “We chose the best location for your event—at the intersection of two main commercial streets.”
Practitioners plan to hold information days in other cities throughout the Netherlands.
