(Minghui.org) After being illegally imprisoned for 10 years Hong was released in July 2023. She was sixty-years-old by the time she was set free.
I was in touch with Hong’s child, who told me that she had late-stage bone cancer. Hospitals refused to take her and the doctors suggested she stay home. They told her that she may have to undergo surgery. A hospital finally agreed to admit her after her child begged the doctors to try and save her life.
Hong was taken to the hospital in handcuffs and shackles, and the doctor demanded the police take them off. He said angrily, “Why are there so many police guarding her? Is she going to run away in her condition?”
When Hong began chemotherapy, five policemen watched her during the day, and two stayed with her at night. A large surveillance camera was installed in the room for round-the-clock monitoring.
When local practitioners heard about her situation, they sent forth righteous thoughts to stop the bad elements from persecuting her. Hong suffered so much during the unjust imprisonment. It was heartbreaking to learn that she had a terminal illness after 10 years of hardships.
I took an overnight bus and arrived at the hospital around 5 a.m. Hong’s three family members were shocked to see me, and said, “The hospital is very strict. How did you get in without a wristband?”
“No one stopped me,” I replied. “There was a man carrying a lunch box, and I walked in behind him. The guard looked at me but didn’t stop me.” I knew Master was helping me.
We had breakfast, and I told Hong’s husband and child to go home and rest. I then took out a small device and played Master’s lectures. Hong wept when she heard Master’s voice. It had been 10 years since she last heard Master! She was overwhelmed with emotion and said she missed Master and Dafa every day.
She listened to the lectures all day. I showed her the five exercises in the evening, and she still remembered them. I briefed her on the progress of Fa-rectification and read Master’s lectures “How Humankind Came To Be” and “Why Save Sentient Beings” to her.
I explained in detail how to send forth righteous thoughts to negate the old forces’ persecution. We spent more than 24 hours together and barely slept. I left when her child returned. Practitioners continued to send righteous thoughts for her.
About a month later, Hong called me and excitedly said she recovered, although she still couldn’t do strenuous work. I was thrilled to hear the news, and knew Master helped her pass the test of life and death. I encouraged her to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts to make up for the time she lost while imprisoned.
After being diagnosed with bone cancer, being refused by the hospitals, and then learning of the possibility of undergoing surgery, Hong recovered one month after listening to Master’s lectures.
