(Minghui.org) “I would like to learn the exercises.” “Me, too!” were some of the comments people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds made when they saw the Falun Dafa booth at the International Gastronomy Festival in Montreal. Practitioners participated in the event that was held on August 3 and 4, 2024. Many people spoke highly of the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and said they enjoyed doing the exercises.

Due to the large number of people who wanted to learn the exercises, the festival organizers allotted more space to the Falun Dafa booth on the second day. Many people also signed up for the upcoming nine-day Falun Dafa workshop.

Diallo and her two children learned how to folder paper lotus flowers, and they also wanted to learn the exercises. Her son concentrated while a practitioner showed him how to do them. Afterwards, Diallo said, “I feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s great! I’ll do them at home.”

French tourists Christelle (first on left) and her family were impressed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

“I’m so happy to hear these principles. Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are so important,” Christelle from France told a practitioner. “They help us get along better, listen to each other, and respect each other, especially in a world filled with stress and conflicts.”

This was the first time Phenix, another tourist from France, had heard of Falun Dafa. “This is a great activity. It spreads compassion and talks about self-cultivation,” she said. “You are spreading positive energy. It means a lot! We need to apply these principles in our lives. I can’t help getting excited.”

Phenix said the practitioners were spreading compassion.

Mr. Cheikh Diaw, one of the International Gastronomy Festival organizers

Mr. Cheikh Diaw, one of the organizers of the festival, complimented the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “Your booth is very popular. I saw you were running out of room yesterday, so we gave you more space today. You are busy today, too. The practice gives you energy and helps you focus. I should try meditation at home, too.” Mr. Diaw invited practitioners to participate in the event next year.
