Austria: Events in Three Cities Highlight 25 Years of Resistance to CCP’s Persecution

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Austria held activities in three cities, St. Pölten, Klagenfurt, and Linz, on July 20, 2024 to clarify the facts and expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 25-year persecution of the practice in China.

They set up booths in the city centers, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, and called for an end to the persecution. Many people signed the petition to help end the persecution. Some expressed an interest in learning Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) and asked about local practice sites.

St. Pölten Resident: Light is Indestructible

St. Pölten is the capital of Niederösterreich, and practitioners set up a booth in St. Pölten’s city center to clarify the truth to people. When people noticed the banners about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and organ harvesting from practitioners, they came to the booth to learn more. One lady signed the petition and said, “When I saw the information about this persecution, my body began trembling.”

After hearing the details about the persecution, one man said that light is indestructible. He believes that people have become blind to the CCP’s crimes due to economic interests.

A police officer stopped by the booth and saw practitioners meditating. He was concerned when he learned that practitioners were being persecuted in China. He took some information and said he would learn more about Falun Gong.

Medical Professional: People Must Adhere to Moral Standards in the Organ Transplant Industry

Klagenfurt is the capital of Kärnten in Southern Austria. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth in the business district. Two practitioners sang songs about Falun Dafa. Many people came by to learn more and sign the petition.

One lady told practitioners that she worked in an organ transplant hospital, and knew very well about China. She said that people must adhere to the moral standards in the organ transplant industry.

Working Together Until Every Practitioner in China is Free

Linz, located on the banks of the Danube River, is the third largest city in Austria, and also the capital city of Oberösterreich. Practitioners set up a booth in Martin Luther Platz in the city center. They clarified the truth to people and collected signatures on a petition calling for the persecution to end.

Sebastian hopes that every Falun Gong practitioner in China will be free.

Falun Gong practitioner Sebastian participated in the activity and said the CCP has committed serious crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in the past 25 years—but practitioners adhere to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and try to persuade the persecutors to stop their crimes. The Chinese practitioners have shown that no matter how hard it is, they can adhere to these principles.

He said that some reports stated that practitioners were released after international protests, so he felt that pressure from international communities can force the CCP to stop persecuting practitioners. The CCP doesn’t want to lose face, so this kind of pressure is powerful. We should work together until every practitioner in China is free.
