Using Every Opportunity to Clarify the Truth

(Minghui.org) I started Falun Dafa cultivation in 1994, almost 30 years ago. After the onset of the persecution initiated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I followed the requirements set up by Master for his disciples, and used different methods to clarify the truth in society. I used what I had learned to tell people around me about Dafa in a deep, extensive, persistent, and comprehensive way. I help people understand the preciousness of Dafa and the evilness of the persecution, so that they could choose a bright future.

Using the Work Environment to Clarify the Truth

Through studying the Fa, I understood that the people I come in contact with in my work environment have a predestined relationship with me, and they are lives that Dafa practitioners should save. Behind these seemingly random opportunities, sentient beings have endured countless hardships and Master has put in unfathomable effort to bring about these opportunities. Therefore, I paid great attention to clarifying the truth to the people at work.

I lost my job during the persecution. Although losing my job was a bad thing in itself, it gave me more time and opportunities to get in touch with the broader society and meet many predestined people. I worked in over ten different areas, including engineering, agriculture, business, education, and finance. Through these avenues, I met different groups of people, all of whom I clarified the truth to.

One year, I managed several engineering vehicles owned by relatives and friends at a highway construction site. Hundreds of vehicles and workers moved around every day. I would often look for opportunities to talk about Dafa with the workers when they were resting, waiting to unload, or repairing trucks. In more than two months, workers, drivers, car owners, cooks, vendors, gas pumpers, car mechanics, supervisors, managers, and many others on the construction site got a chance to learn the truth about Dafa.

I switched to crop planting after the project was completed. At least a dozen people worked every day in the busy season. I clarified the truth to them when they worked. Hundreds of farmers have learned the truth while working in the fields over the past few years.

As the Fa-rectification advanced, the social environment for Dafa disciples became more relaxed. I went to work for a private enterprise. I served as office director, branch manager, group company supervisor, and general manager of a small enterprise. The different kinds of roles allowed me to get to know colleagues and clients from different fields, and many of them learned the truth over the course of our contact.

Using Daily Life and Social Interactions to Awaken People’s Conscience

Once, my aunt held a birthday party. Dozens of relatives and friends from four generations gathered at her house. I took the opportunity to talk to them about Falun Dafa for more than two hours. When I was leaving, my aunt invited the whole family to walk me out the door and wave goodbye. At that moment, I realized the great responsibility Dafa disciples face and the sacredness of our mission. I also felt the respect and gratitude of the people to whom I told the facts about Dafa. 

I often clarified the truth when I rode the bus to a neighboring city. I would talk to whoever sits next to me, but all the people in the bus would be listening. Once, everyone listened with so much attention that no one got off for a few minutes after the bus arrived at its terminal. People finally got off with smiles after the driver urged them to get moving.

I once took a train to Beijing on a business trip. In the seat opposite me was a retired police officer from the Chengde Police Department in Hebei Province. Our conversation attracted the interest of the passengers around us when we talked about the persecution of Falun Gong. 

Over 20 people gathered around. I used the information from a number of truth-clarification materials that I had put together before. With Master’s support, I fully demonstrated the wisdom of Dafa. The passengers around responded with warm applause every time I finished arguing a point.

After nearly eight hours of communication, the retired officer changed his misconceptions about Dafa, and eighteen onlookers quit the CCP and its youth organizations using pseudonyms.

Making a Point with Anti-Persecution Events

Clarifying the truth is one of the important weapons for Dafa disciples to fight against the persecution, because the CCP carries out the persecution by manipulating and deceiving people. Once the people know the truth, the persecution will naturally disappear.

Once, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee was going to hold a brainwashing session for the practitioners in the city who were not “transformed.” The house had been rented and the notice had been issued. 

Since I used to be good friends with the deputy head of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee in charge of this matter, I invited him to have a meal at the beach. I explained the truth about Dafa to him in detail for several hours. After understanding the truth, he made the decision to choose righteousness and cancel the brainwashing session.

I went to a higher authority to complain about my illegal dismissal from my job one year. Out of curiosity and concern, a dozen leaders and colleagues from various departments came to see me and they asked me many questions about Falun Gong.

With Master’s support, I answered their questions using sound reasoning and wisdom. I did it with confidence, ease and humor, and aroused the justice in their hearts with the truth of Dafa. They went to their respective managers and asked them to help me resume my work. 

They arranged for me to meet with three main managers of the parent organization, giving me the opportunity to clarify the truth and defend myself face-to-face. After listening to the truth and my request, two of the three said they would reinstate me and let me work in another unit without me having to write a guarantee letter.

Because my boss refused to unconditionally reinstate me, I was unable to resume my work. However, through the entire incident, I felt the power of clarifying the truth, and saw that some of my managers and colleagues still felt that justice was required and showed that they still had a good conscience. It gave me a deeper understanding of the significance of Dafa disciples’ clarifying the truth and saving people.

Taking the Initiative to Find Predestined People

Clarifying the truth and saving people is the true purpose of a Dafa practitioner in this lifetime. Therefore, practitioners cannot wait passively, but must actively look for people to talk to.

Except for some very close relatives and friends, I have not been in contact with many people I had known well for a long time. These included my classmates and teachers from elementary school to university, my dance partner for the fitness dances, buddies who learned Tai Chi with me, buddies who learned calligraphy with me, pen pals who did literary creations together, and those who used to work at my various workplaces. 

I made a list of these people and tried to contact them one by one. Although I was unable to find them all, I was still able to contact some. Among the people I found were the deputy director of our city’s Natural Resources Bureau, officials of the Discipline Inspection Commission, court judges, library directors and staff, radio station editors, corporate workshop directors, nurses, individual proprietors, unemployed workers, retired officials, retired teachers, retired workers, and more. I told them all the truth about Dafa.

When I didn’t have a job for a while, I went to nearby small and medium-sized enterprises to apply for work. In reality what I truly wanted was to clarify the truth to the people there. I was interviewed at many places, and I got the opportunity to clarify the truth to the people there.

Once, I was interviewed by a leader who had been a professor at a CCP municipal school in a big city. He debated with me regarding Falun Gong-related issues in front of a dozen college students who were also applying for jobs. He wanted to demonstrate his knowledge as a former CCP school professor. But I refuted his wrong viewpoints with evidence. The dozen students who heard the truth about Dafa during our debate there looked at me with admiration. The leader walked away looking disappointed. 

The deputy general manager of the company who was present at the time walked with me to the gate. When we parted, he held my hand and said, “What you said makes sense; I support you.”

Using My Writing Skills

Given that I was studying the Fa, I know well that at this historical time any expertise a Dafa disciple has must be a gift from Dafa. To validate the Fa with our knowledge in society is the mission and responsibility of every Dafa disciple.

I had published dozens of articles in various news media before I was 20. My articles were published in national newspapers and official books by the state after I began work.

I was the main reviewer of the speech articles for the large experience sharing conference in our city before the onset of the persecution. Afterwards, I used my writing skills to write truth-clarifying articles. The major CCP officials in our city suffered retribution for their persecution of Dafa practitioners. I wrote an article about it to admonish people. Other practitioners distributed the article in large quantities among the local people, and got a great response.

The editor-in-chief of the newspaper in our city met with the former leader of the Falun Gong assistance center and said, “I have read the leaflets you distributed, and they make sense. You Falun Gong have some intelligent people!” Later, I continued to target the leaders of the police department, detention centers, and some township governments and police stations that had severely persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. I have written articles specifically exposing the evil, and distributed them among the local people.

To curb the evil and reduce the persecution, I wrote letters of advice to leaders of various departments and public officials in our region. To cooperate with the international Dafa media, I have written dozens of truth-clarification and cultivation articles and published them in the Dafa media. I have played my part as a Dafa disciple in saving sentient beings. It is my belief and wish that whoever comes from Dafa should return to Dafa.
