(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Ji’nan City, Shandong Province] Case Against Mr. Leng Xiaocheng Submitted to the Procuratorate
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Su Yanxia and Ms. Guan Dejuan Arrested
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Zihao Arrested and Detained
4. [Chongqing] Practitioners Wang Guanglin and Hu Ruirong Arrested
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Wei Sanmei Arrested and Detained
6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dai Xicui Arrested and Detained
7. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Jinshuang Arrested
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Hongyuan Arrested and Detained
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Hongwei Arrested
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Defang Persecuted
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiao Donglin and Ms. Qiao Chunlin Harassed
1. [Ji’nan City, Shandong Province] Case Against Mr. Leng Xiaocheng Submitted to the Procuratorate
Mr. Leng Xiaocheng was arrested near his home by officers from the Meilihu Police Station in the Huaiyin District of Ji’nan City and officers from Guzhen County of Bengbu City in Anhui Province at 6 p.m. on April 11, 2024. Mr. Leng is currently detained in the Bengbu City Detention Center. His case was submitted to the Guzhen County Procuratorate on July 17, 2024. It’s not clear why the authorities in Anhui are handling his case.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Su Yanxia and Ms. Guan Dejuan Arrested
Ms. Su Yanxia and Ms. Guan Dejuan were arrested at their own homes by officers from the Chengxi Police Station and Qingnian Road Police Station respectively on July 17, 2024. Their homes were ransacked.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Zihao Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhou Zihao, in his 30s, was arrested on March 18, 2024. He has been transferred from the Tiexi Detention Center to another detention center.
4. [Chongqing] Practitioners Wang Guanglin and Hu Ruirong Arrested
Wang Guanglin and Hu Ruirong were arrested at their homes by several officers from the Xietaizi Police Station in the Jiulongpo District on the afternoon of July 11, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. Wang was released the following afternoon. Hu was taken to the Huayan Lockup in the Jiulongpo District.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Wei Sanmei Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wei Sanmei from the Dongli District was arrested on July 12, 2024. She is currently detained in the Dongli District Detention Center.
6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dai Xicui Arrested and Detained
Ms. Dai Xichui from Guchengzhuang Village in Zhougezhuang Town was arrested on the morning of July 9, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was placed under a 15-day detention in the Laixi Lockup.
7. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Jinshuang Arrested
Liu Jinshuang was arrested recently and the home was ransacked. Liu is being detained in the Baxi District Police Department.
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Hongyuan Arrested and Detained
Zhang Hongyuan from the Kuiwen District was arrested and taken to the Weifang City Detention Center on June 17, 2024. Zhang has been held there for over a month.
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Hongwei Arrested
Mr. Wang Hongwei from Qingyuan County was arrested on July 14, 2024.
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Defang Persecuted
Ms. Yang Defang was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested at home by several plainclothes officers from the Hanyang District Police Department at 7 p.m. on May 8, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, media player, and USB drives. Ms. Yang was detained for 10 days at the Wuhan City First Lockup before been transferred to the Yusunshan Brainwashing Center on May 18, 2024. She was released on June 20, 2024. Several officers went to her home less than a month after her release and photographed her.
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiao Donglin and Ms. Qiao Chunlin Harassed
The family of Ms. Qiao Donglin and her sister Ms. Qiao Chunlin were harassed by officer Xing Huan on July 14, 2024. Xin also made several harassing calls to the two sisters and asked for their photos, WeChat account IDs, and other personal information on the morning of July 16, 2024. The sisters didn’t cooperate.
