(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners around the world have been working to end the persecution that has gone on for 25 years since former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Jiang Zemin launched it on July 20, 1999. Practitioners in Malaysia held a series of activities in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, on July 13 and 14, to let more people know about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and the persecution.

Only July 13, practitioners from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor held a rally and a candlelight vigil at Bukit Bintang, a bustling shopping and entertainment area in the capital Kuala Lumpur, to mark the 25th anniversary of their efforts to end the Chinese regime’s persecution.

Candlelight Vigil in Kuala Lumpur

Practitioners held a rally and a candlelight vigil on July 13, at Bukit Bintang, a bustling shopping and entertainment area in the capital.

The rally began at 7 p.m., with three practitioners speaking in Chinese, Malay, and English. They told people that July 20th was the 25th anniversary of their peaceful resistance to the persecution. They called on people from all walks of life to learn the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution and work together to end it.

The event attracted many people. A Malay woman asked a practitioner what the event was about. The practitioner told her that it was the 25th anniversary of their efforts to expose the persecution, and Falun Gong practitioners were holding similar activities around the world to demand that the persecution end. The woman said, “I understand. Falun Gong is awesome!”

Many passersby talked to practitioners and learned the truth about Falun Gong, the persecution, and the crimes of organ harvesting. Many of them took fliers and other informational materials.

Several Chinese tourists asked practitioner Ms. Yang about the “Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident.” After hearing the facts about the CCP-staged hoax, they thanked her and took some information about the persecution.

A Malay college student drove by the event on her motorcycle. She parked the motorcycle and searched the keyword “Falun Gong” on her smartphone. She then asked a practitioner some questions about Falun Gong, the persecution, and why the event was held. She took a flier and thanked the practitioner, “You are doing a great job speaking up for them (the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners) and rescuing them!”
