Taiwan: Politicians and Dignitaries Voice Their Support at Events to Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Chiayi, Pingtung, and Yunlin held rallies on July 13, 14, and 20, 2024, in memory of their fellow practitioners who were persecuted to death and to protest 25 years of persecution in China. They clarified the truth about the persecution and called on people to help end the persecution.

Practitioners set up photo displays and demonstrated and taught the Falun Gong exercises. They held candlelight vigils in the evening. Members of Parliament and educators came to show their support. Many locals and tourists read the information and spoke with practitioners. They condemned the CCP’s atrocities and called for practitioners’ immediate release. Many people said they admired the practitioners’ courage and efforts to expose the persecution.

Taiwan Legislator Admires Falun Gong Practitioners

Wang Meihui, a Taiwan legislator, said, “I admire Falun Gong practitioners for their countering the persecution over the past 25 years. They fight for human rights, freedom, and righteousness. I will stand with them.”

Liu Jianguo, another legislator, said that practitioners live by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and express their demands peacefully. He said the CCP is a demon and he hopes that Heaven will punish it. He called on nations worldwide to step up to condemn the CCP’s atrocity of organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, which is a crime against humanity, and to demand the CCP release all Falun Gong practitioners immediately.

Lai Zhengliang, a representative from Legislator Cai Yiyu’s office, said, “We must let people know about the CCP’s crimes and work together to end its evildoings.”

The CCP suppress Falun Gong and even harvests organs from Falun Gong practitioners. I call on people around the world to expose the CCP’s inhumanity and end the persecution of Falun Gong.”

Chiayi City Councilor: Falun Gong Brings Hope

Wang Hao, Chiayi City Councilor, said, “The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong must stop. Falun Gong practitioners’ forbearance and resilience bring hope. Helping Falun Gong should be a worldwide movement. We should hold the CCP accountable.”

Fu Dawei, another Chiayi City Councilor, said, “Falun Gong has a positive impact on society and the world. It elevates people’s moral standards. People should have freedom of belief. The CCP shouldn’t persecute good people. We should support practitioners’ efforts to expose this persecution.”

Huang Mingxiu, Chiayi City Councilor, condemned the persecution of Falun Gong, saying, “There is persecution in China, and many are incarcerated. Thousands upon thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned in China every year. Their organs are forcibly harvested. This is the CCP’s obvious crime.”

Pingtung County Councilor Hong Mingjiang said, “People need to step forward and condemn the CCP. I admire Falun Gong practitioners. They don’t give in despite the persecution at the hands of powerful authority over the past 25 years. Instead, they became stronger. Why does Falun Gong stand strong and not fall? Because they have a common goal.”

Gu Fucai, a citizen representative, also expressed his support. He said that he finally understood Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to counter the persecution after he read the information on the display boards. He gave practitioners a thumbs up.

Yunlin County Councilor: Stand on the Right Side with Falun Gong

Zhang Weizheng, a Yunlin County Councilor, said, “The CCP damages world peace. I will continue to be on the right side. I truly believe that we can form an indestructible righteous force if we stand with Falun Gong practitioners. Our hearts are with them, we are heading in the same direction, and we will persevere with them. If we don’t give up, righteousness will prevail.”

Jiang Wendeng, Yunlin County Councilor, gave an example of a Chinese doctor who escaped from China. He emphasized that the CCP is evil, and that if you don’t listen to practitioners, you might be the next one whose organs are harvested. He said that he would stand with practitioners and their efforts to counter the persecution.

People know that Falun Gong practitioners are good people who comply with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They are welcomed here. It’s terrible that the CCP harvests organs from them. It’s inhumane.” She called on people to step up and expose the CCP’s atrocities and not let the persecution continue.

Writer: I Am Touched by Falun Gong Practitioners’ Spirit

Li Wangtai, a writer from Pingtung, came to support practitioners. He said, “Falun Gong is remarkable. They have persevered for over 20 years. Their spirit has moved me.”

“The CCP’s long arm has reached into other Asian countries. It also controls the rallies and the speeches and democracy in Western societies, which is a great challenge to basic human values. Falun Gong has persevered for 25 years to counter this phenomena. This has moved me greatly. Actually, Falun Gong practitioners are not the only ones persecuted by the CCP. Falun Gong helps people to become aware of the true nature of the CCP.

“Falun Gong is wonderful. They are not a political party nor a political group. But they help counter the infiltration and counter the persecution. They have accumulated boundless virtue.”

A man from Chiayi City said, “People who practice Falun Gong have positive energy. Every one of them looks kind.”

Doctor Huang Shiwei said, “Organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners is the utmost evil—something that has never happened before. The US Congress passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, which demands that the CCP stop the persecution of Falun Gong immediately and will punish those who are involved in it or who participate in organ harvesting.

“On the day the truth is revealed, every one of us will have to ask ourselves what we did to end this persecution.”
