My Husband and I Were Changed and Blessed By Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) My husband and I live in a remote county town in southern China. My husband was the county petition bureau deputy director before retiring. He grew up in a poverty-stricken farmer’s home and had a harsh childhood. When he grew up, he had a hot temper and was abusive. After we got married, he ruled the home with an iron fist; he did not help out with household chores, nor take care of our children; if I dared to say anything, he would physically abuse me. I made up my mind to divorce him as soon as my younger daughter graduated from college.

I was fortunate to come across Falun Dafa in February 1999. I’ve changed enormously since living by Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I get along with my husband and in-laws, and I maintain a peaceful and calm mindset at all times and in all situations. When encountering conflicts, I don’t fight or feel resentment; I usually look more at the other person's strengths and reflect on my own shortcomings.

Whenever friends and relatives praised my husband for having a good wife, he would nod happily, and say, “My wife is great now. It’s all because of practicing Falun Dafa.”

He often listens to Master Li’s Fa lecture series and reads Dafa informational materials. The more my husband understood the truth, the more righteous his thoughts became. We opened a small convenience store, and he offered a place there for practitioners to meet and communicate. He also helped me protect Falun Dafa books in times of crisis.

My husband was blessed for his righteous words and deeds. Recently, we were riding an electric tricycle one evening. As we approached an intersection with no traffic light to turn left, a large tricycle suddenly rushed towards us and our two vehicles collided.

The windshield of our tricycle was completely smashed and the iron frame was twisted and contorted. The driver’s seat was overturned and my husband was thrown out of the vehicle and landed on the ground. My face hit the iron frame of the other tricycle’s windshield. Their windshield was also smashed, and the tricycle’s iron frame was distorted.

My husband and I were stunned, and it took us a while to figure out what was happening. Then we realized that my 70-year-old husband was not injured at all and was able to move freely. My face was fine after hitting the iron frame of the other vehicle; it was not even red or swollen. The other motorcyclist was only slightly scratched by the glass.

I told my husband, “Without Master’s protection today, we would both be gone!”

“Indeed! Master Li Hongzhi has saved us from death!” he replied.

My husband and I are both deeply grateful for Master Li’s saving grace. We hope people will understand the truth of Falun Dafa, sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and be blessed and protected by Dafa.
