(Minghui.org) The following is my story of being rescued by fellow practitioners who worked on the Global Rescue Platform outside of China.

One evening in September 2016, I heard a knock on my apartment door in China. A man said that the neighbor upstairs had a water leak, so I opened the door. I was surprised to see three uniformed police officers standing there. I knew immediately the old forces were exploiting my loopholes to persecute me. Even though I didn’t really want to, I let them in.

One officer wanted me to go to the station to verify some facts because my husband and I had sued former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Jiang Zemin using our real names and address. Jiang initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. I agreed to go with them, but before I left, I went to the bathroom and alerted my Fa study group.

I was led into a room at the police station where three officers were already waiting for me. They pulled out the letter I’d submitted to the Supreme Procuratorate and verified how I had been persecuted, including being arrested by officers from the domestic security division and having our computer and printer confiscated.

Afterwards, an officer told me to sign the statement he’d written during the process. I didn’t want to sign it, but they said, “That’s what you said. You have to sign it.” I didn't think about it that much at the time, so I signed it.

Then another officer said that I’d be detained for two days. A young policeman and another one from our local station took me to the Weizigou Detention Center.

I clarified the truth to them and told them not to participate in the persecution. The young policeman driving the car said helplessly, “I didn’t want to arrest you, either.” The other police officer named Yuan said, “Look, your house is so close to the police station, and we haven’t been to your house for so many years.”

Along the way, I sent forth righteous thoughts and then looked within to find what attachments I had that were being exploited by the evil. It was raining and the driver got lost even though he knew the way to the detention center quite well.

When we finally arrived at the detention center, the cranky guards on duty glanced at my form and said that I had to have a health exam. A doctor on duty was called to examine me. She whispered in my ear, asking if I had any ailments. I said I’d once had edema. She checked my eyes and said I had a severe health problem and that the detention center couldn’t admit me.

The two police officers who brought me in argued with the guard on duty without resolving the issue. Finally, they decided to take me to a hospital for a check-up.

It was already 3 a.m. the following morning when we got to the hospital. While one policeman went to pay for the exam, I continued to send righteous thoughts. A young female doctor came to see me. I told her that I was not a criminal and was just a Falun Gong practitioner. She checked my eyes and wrote a lot on a form. Then she told the two police officers that I was very sick and had to be transferred to a big hospital immediately.

They went back to the detention center to pick up the forms, and the guard on duty mocked them again.

They drove back to the police station and officer Yuan told me to go home. He said to me, “Please tell your friends (meaning overseas Falun Gong practitioners) to stop calling me; my cell phone is about to blow up.” Thanks to overseas practitioners’ efforts, I returned home safely. My heart was filled with infinite gratitude to Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong.

I later heard that overseas practitioners had been making phone calls to the police. As a result, many people in the procuratorate office heard the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. This time when I was taken to the detention center, the guard and doctor on duty disliked the police officers who had escorted me, but treated me kindly. Obviously, more people were awakening.

Now that I live outside of China, I’ve joined the Global Rescue Platform to make phone calls to rescue fellow practitioners. I am deeply moved by the importance of making calls to rescue practitioners.

As I share this experience, I’m also urging myself not to relax or slack off and to save more lives and to fulfill my vow.
