(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in the Eastern United States will hold a rally, march, and candlelight vigil in Washington D.C. in July, to continue raising awareness of the 25-year-long persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Numerous U.S. Congressional members have sent videos or letters to Falun Gong practitioners before the event to show their support.
Rep. Perry: The United States Stands with You
Representative Scott Perry, who introduced the Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R. 4132), sent a video message to show his support for Falun Gong practitioners.
Scott Perry, member of U.S. House of Representatives and initiator of the Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R. 4132), sent a video message to show his support:
“Everybody, it is great to be with you. You are gathering here today to condemn the CCP’s actions, its persecution of the Falun Gong (Falun Dafa), and I want to let you know that I stand with you and the United States stands with you. We want to offer a light of hope to all of those who are persecuted, the long suffering of the Falun Gong, and to let you know that hope is alive. We are working towards solutions and we had a great victory just this year with the pass of the Falun Gong Protection Act.
“And as you know, I have spoken with many of you and many of your family members who are practitioners and those who have been persecuted. I take this personally and our friendship is great and sound. I want to let you know that I stand right with you on every single occasion.
“I wish you the best, the best day, the best celebration, and your continued successes. We will work together to make sure that you can practice freely those beliefs which are so dear to you. God bless you.”
Congresswoman Kim: The CCP’s Persecution Has No Limit
Congresswoman Young Kim sent a video message
Congresswoman Young Kim, chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Indo-Pacific Subcommittee, also sent a video message to voice her support:
“I am honored to join you all today as you rally together for human rights against the Chinese Communist Party’s heinous human abuses against Falun Gong practitioners for 25 years... The CCP’s oppression has no limit. For 25 years, innocent Falun Gong practitioners have been repeatedly silenced, detained, imprisoned, and brainwashed.
“We have also seen growing evidence that the CCP is going as far as forcing organ harvesting from religious and ethnic minorities. No one should ever go through this. The Falun Gong Protection Act recently passed the House. It will impose sanctions on those who have engaged in forced organ harvesting in the People’s Republic of China. I am supportive of these efforts and I will continue to firmly push back against the CCP’s abuses.”
Rep. Pascrell: Firmly Reject the Persecution
Letter from Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr.
Bill Pascrell, Jr., a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, wrote a letter to the Falun Dafa Association of New Jersey on July 5:
“I would like to send my warm regards to everyone participating in today’s rally in support of Falun Gong and Falun Dafa.
“Day in and day out, we see the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of religious communities who seek nothing more than to freely practice their religion and express themselves. This repression must end. The Chinese dictatorship’s oppression of Falun Gong and other religious groups is a stain on their country.
“In the United States, we recognize that diversity is our strength. Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey as the grandson of Italian immigrants, our family and larger community has always found great strength in diversity. We are lucky to live in a country that celebrates different religions, ethnicities, and cultural practices. Unfortunately, as all too many of you know firsthand, not everyone around the world shares the same freedoms that we do in the United States. I firmly reject all religious persecution around the world, especially that of Falun Gong in China.
“I admire your advocacy in raising awareness of this persecution, and that your rally is met with appreciation and understanding from the public. Again, I wish you well in your efforts to give a voice to all Falun Gong followers who have been subject to persecution.”
Congresswoman Mace: It Is Crucial that We Hold the CCP Accountable

Congresswoman Nancy Mace from South Carolina, also wrote a letter:
“Dear Falun Dafa Friends,
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has carried out a systematic campaign of repression and persecution of the Falun Gong. The unjust and arbitrary detention, forced disappearance, and torture of practitioners of Falun Gong is deeply disturbing. Falun Gong, with its principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, represents values that should be embraced, not attacked.
“We stand firmly against the CCP’s oppressive tactics. Their actions are a clear attempt to suppress any group that threatens their authoritarian control. This kind of repression is unacceptable and must be met with strong opposition by all who celebrate freedom.
“It is crucial that we hold the CCP accountable for its actions and support those who are fighting for their right to practice their beliefs freely. The CCP’s campaign against Falun Gong is just one example of their broader strategy to silence dissent and maintain their grip on power.
“Despite the CCP’s efforts to eradicate it, Falun Gong has shown remarkable resilience and strength. The unwavering commitment of its practitioners to their principles is truly inspiring. Their courage in the face of such severe repression is a powerful reminder of the human spirit’s ability to endure and prevail.
“Thank you for your steadfast commitment to justice and freedom. Let us stand united against the CCP’s repressive tactics and in defense of the values that define our great nation.”
