(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego, in the United States, once again hosted the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) Exhibition on June 22, 2024, at Balboa Park, a famous local scenic spot. They wanted to help local people and tourists learn about Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioners also collected signatures on a petition against the CCP’s forced organ harvesting jointly launched by the “Doctors Against Live Harvesting (DAFOH)” and the “International Coalition to End Organ Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC)” and other organizations.

The petition calls on the leaders of the G7 and G7+7 countries to condemn the CCP for harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and to implement a corresponding cross-government action plan to stop this evil. More than 360 people signed the petition to stop the CCP’s live organ harvesting that day.

Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego, California, held the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) Exhibition in Balboa Park, a famous local scenic spot, to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to local people and tourists.

Practitioners demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises and help members of the public learn the practice.

Daniela and Miguel, a young couple from Santiago, viewed the exhibition for a long time with their young child. “The paintings are different, sad, and very moving,” Daniela said.

She pointed to a painting called “Why” and said, “I have a child of my own, and if this persecution had happened to me and my child, God, I can’t imagine it.”

The description of the painting read: “This work is based on a true story. A mother and her son were detained in mainland China for practicing Falun Gong. Both the mother and the boy were beaten, but the little boy did not cry. He stood by the cage full of confusion: Why? Why are we being detained? Why did they hit us like this?”

Both Daniela and Miguel said they had not heard of Falun Gong before and did not know about the CCP’s persecution. They looked over toward the peaceful and quiet Falun Gong practitioners at the side of the exhibition, they said they could not understand why the CCP persecuted Falun Gong.

“So it’s really nice to be able to see the exhibition, to read the descriptions, and to see what’s going on,” Daniela said, “We’ll help spread the word.” Miguel, shocked by the CCP’s persecution, agreed.

Both husband and wife signed the petition form. Daniela said the signatures were to show their support, “We don’t want people to continue to suffer.”

Gwendylin Nguyen and Jaylyn Rodriguez, high school graduates from Arizona, also stopped to view the exhibition.

“The exhibition was very moving, very informative, and very important,” Gwendilin said. She introduced herself as being of Vietnamese and Chinese descent and said she had heard about what was happening in China from her family and about dissidents being detained by the CCP. When she saw the exhibition and learned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, she said she could connect all these things together.

Jaylyn said that holding an exhibition in the park is “really very good and beautiful.” She also said that she would learn more about Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution when she returned home.

San Diego resident Kema Kojah and her sister Michelle Kojah had taken their children for a walk in the park. Both sisters were impressed by the exhibition.

Kema said, “From this Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition, I saw what the Chinese have experienced under the rule of the CCP. It’s an eye-opener because a lot of people don’t know what’s really going on in China and what the people there are going through.”

Kema said she knew something about the CCP’s persecution of the Chinese people. “I know of the lock downs of the people during the epidemic, the one-child policy before that, and the live organ harvesting [from Falun Gong practitioners], etc. I have known these things for more than 20 years, [the CCP] is so cruel! I talk a lot about these issues on my social media.”

Both sisters said that they enjoyed the exhibition very much, and thanked Falun Gong practitioners for using this method to raise awareness. “The paintings are very beautiful and very moving,” Michelle said, “It’s a great way to show the suffering of the people there in an artistic way, and it’s also a good way to raise awareness.”

An elderly lady looked carefully at one painting after another and said that each painting brought tears to her eyes.

After looking at the painting, a nurse accepted a report on the CCP’s live organ harvesting and said that she would show it to her colleagues.
