(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Mr. Liu Guohua Submitted to the Procuratorate
Mr. Liu Guohua from Dadong District, 57, was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in early March 2024. He was arrested at his home on March 6, 2024. His home was ransacked and truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. His case was submitted to the Dadong District Procuratorate on March 29, 2024. Mr. Liu is currently held in the Dadong District Detention Center.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guilan Arrested
Ms. Liu Guilan from Nangang District, 71, was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong near the No. 2 Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University on the afternoon of May 22, 2024.
3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Wanliang’s Appeal Filed in the Intermediate Court
The appeal by Mr. Sun Wanlian from Changtu County was filed in the intermediate court on May 8, 2024. Judge Wang Ying is in charge of the case.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Chengfu and Ms. Xiong Shiju Detained
Mr. Sun Chengfu is held in the First Detention Center of Changchun City. Ms. Xiong Shiju was detained two days after her arrest and has been released.
5. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Persecuted
Zhang Cuijun and Ms. Jia, in her 80s, were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station when they were putting up stickers which had information about Falun Gong on May 9, 2024. They were released later.
Ms. Zeng Qingyu was arrested at her home by officers from the Mohudian Police Station on May 10, 2024. The police confiscated two Falun Gong books, a computer and a printer. Ms. Zeng’s daughter was taken away, but was released later that day.
Ms. Huang Hezhi was reported to police for talking about Falun Gong. She managed to escape on May 17, 2024. Her bike was confiscated by three officers. Ms. Huang is staying away from her home to avoid further persecution.
6. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Hong’an Police Station arrested seven practitioners on April 26, 2024. They are Mr. Feng Zimin, Ms. Zhang Jie, Ms. Feng Hui, Ms. Gao Yongzhi, Ms. Yang Xiuhua, Ms. Sun Yufang and Ms. Sun Haizhu. Except for Ms. Sun Haizhu, the other six practitioners were released on bail pending trial for one year. Ms. Sun Yufang, 81, paid a deposit of 10,000 yuan; the other five practitioners each paid 5,000 yuan.
7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Qiuyu Arrested and Detained
Ms. Chen Qiuyu was arrested at home by several officers at around 7 a.m. on May 13, 2024. The police pretended to be checking for a gas leak and tricked Ms. Chen’s husband into opening the door for them. They ransacked the home and confiscated a computer, over 20 USB drives, two Falun Gong books and two cell phones. Ms. Chen was detained for one night in the Yaojia Police Station and was later transferred to the Jinan City Detention Center.
8. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yuan Hongbiao and His Wife Ms. Xu Jingbo Arrested and Detained
Mr. Yuan Hongbiao and his wife Ms. Xu Jingbo were arrested on April 24, 2024. They have been detained in the Siping City Detention Center.
9. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Chao Hongxing Arrested
Chao Hongxing (gender unknown), who works in the Xuchang People’s Hospital, was arrested by officers in Weidu District in mid-April 2024. It is unknown where Chao has been detained.
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Yuxia was arrested at home by officers from the Baiju Road Police Station on May 20, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Zhang was beaten and lost her hearing during the arrest. She was taken to the Third Detention Center of Changchun City.
