(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners were reading Falun Gong books at Ms. Liu Cuixian’s home around 1 p.m. on June 6, 2024, when a group of police officers suddenly came in and arrested them, including Ms. Liu, Ms. Li Zhuxiu, and others. Around 6 p.m. that afternoon, Ms. Xiao Yuxia, 56, was suddenly arrested by several police officers downstairs at her home.
Ms. Li and Ms. Xiao was recently released from the Kunming No. 2 Women’s Prison.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Held in Custody
Huo Jianguo, Ma Yingjie, Wang Yuchuan, Fei Shuqing and others from Guye District are being held in Beijiadian Detention Center in Guye District.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Wei Held in Detention Center
Officers from the Hekou Police Station in Dalian High-tech Zone arrested Mr. Cong Wei on the afternoon of May 9, 2024. His home was ransacked and his Falun Gong items were confiscated.
On May 10, officers took Mr. Cong to the detention center. As his blood pressure reading was as high as 220, the detention center refused to admit him. The officers then took him to a hotel for custody. Mr. Cong managed to escape.
On May 15, Mr. Cong was arrested again at the Houer Residential Community, Shahekou District. He is now being held in the Dalian Detention Center (also known as the Yaojia Detention Center). His family requested he be on medical parole but it was denied.
4. [Weihai, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Linfeng’s Case Brought to Court
Mr. Liu Linfeng was arrested and taken to the Weihai Economic and Technological Development Zone Police Department by Liu Tao, an officer from the development zone’s Domestic Security Division, and others on April 26, 2024, in preparation for prosecution. His case was turned over to the Rongcheng City Procuratorate on May 22 by the Domestic Security Division. On May 24, prosecutors Dong Yubing and Jiang Lingli from Rongcheng City Procuratorate summoned Mr. Liu and transcribed his answers while he was interrogated. On June 5, the Rongcheng City Procuratorate turned Mr. Liu’s case to Rongcheng City Court. Wang Dongmei served as the presiding judge.
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Cao Baohua Held in Detention Center
Cao Baohua from Bayuquan District was arrested and taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center between early and mid-May 2024. The cause of Cao’s arrest was was unknown. Cao lives alone, and fellow practitioners had not seen Cao for quite a few days. After making numerous inquiries, they confirmed that Cao is being held in Yingkou City Detention Center.
6. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Xiaolan Detained
About 30 practitioners have been arrested in Shulan City. Ms. Xu Xiaolan has been detained for 15 days.
A practitioner’s home in Dalaiweiye Residential Community was ransacked. The officers confiscated a printer and numerous other items. They also tracked down other practitioners who visited the practitioner’s home since they started following the practitioner.
7. [Guilin City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Qiu Hongmei and Ms. Li Hongli Held in Custody
Ms. Qiu Hongmei and Ms. Li Hongli from Dongying City, Shandong Province, were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials when they were touring Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Nationality Autonomous Region. They were arrested by officers from the Police Department of Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County in Guangxi Autonomous Region on May 13, 2024. The two practitioners are currently held in Guilin City No. 2 Detention Center.
On May 21, officer Liang and two other Guangxi Domestic Security officers went to Dongying City, Shandong Province, to search Ms. Li’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials. On May 27, they went to the workplace of Ms. Qiu’s husband and attempted to search his home. After they were rejected, they tried to force their way in. They faced strong resistance, and gave up. They later broke into Ms. Qiu’s home without her family’s knowledge and confiscated her Falun Gong books, audio and video files, a laptop computer, among other items. The Longsheng Domestic Security Division has not allowed the two practitioners’ families to visit them.
