(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Xiao Yuxia Arrested
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Cheng Yingfeng Arrested and Detained
3. [Shanghai] Mr. Du Ting Arrested and Detained
4. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lu Shengli and Ms. Jiang Yilan Harassed
5. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xin Lilian Arrested and Detained
6. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Minglan Arrested
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Fuqin Arrested
1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Xiao Yuxia Arrested
Ms. Xiao Yuxia was arrested at home by officers from the Guandu District Police Department at 6 p.m. on June 6, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Cheng Yingfeng Arrested and Detained
Cheng Yingfeng was arrested by officers from the Chuncheng Police Station in Luyuan District on June 10, 2024. The police ransacked Cheng’s home and took him or her to the Weizigou Detention House.
3. [Shanghai] Mr. Du Ting Arrested and Detained
Mr. Du Ting was arrested at home by officers from the Wanli Police Station at 3 a.m. on June 3, 2024. He is currently held in the Putuo District Detention Center. His lawyer has not been allowed to visit him.
Mr. Du started to work in Shanghai after he graduated from college. He was detained for more than 10 years because he refused to stop practicing Falun Gong.
4. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lu Shengli and Ms. Jiang Yilan Harassed
Mr. Lu Shengli from Jingyang District was harassed by police in mid-May 2024. His Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Ms. Jiang Yilan was intercepted by officers at the gate of the resident community on the morning of May 14, 2024. They photographed her. Ms. Jiang was once again intercepted by three officers when she was taking her granddaughter to a tutor in the afternoon. The police also tried to go to her home.
5. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xin Lilian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xin Lilian was followed and videotaped by police when she went out and talked to people about Falun Gong on the morning of May 13, 2024. She was arrested by several officers when she returned to the local residential community. Ms. Xin was taken to the No. 2 Police Station for interrogation. Her home was ransacked later that day. The police confiscated two Falun Gong books and some amulets. Ms. Xin was detained for 10 days in the Jixi City Detention House and was released on May 23, 2024.
6. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Minglan Arrested
Ms. Zhou Minglan was arrested by local police on March 22, 2023.
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Fuqin Arrested
Ms. Yang Fuqin from Changling Village of Chengfa Township was arrested by officers from the Yushu City Police Department on March 19, 2024. She was interrogated in the police station and released later that day.
