Clarifying the Truth to Officials Directly Involved in Persecuting Dafa

(Minghui.org) An effective way to suppress and dissolve the persecution is by clarifying the truth to those who are directly involved in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.

Although community and village committees are not formally government administrative bodies, they are an expansion and extension of the government’s administrative functions. They also serve as a foundation for the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) governmental control. Many CCP policies are implemented and carried out through these branches. Over the years, they have played important roles in the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

In recent years, the CCP implemented community and village grid management and reinforced surveillance of Dafa practitioners. Community and village committee personnel were asked to monitor and harass practitioners and to report if practitioners were caught clarifying the truth in public.

A higher-level CCP committee once ordered the community joint police in our area to talk to each practitioner. The community committee personnel and police came to my home three times. Initially, they did not find me. But upon seeing they were still looking for me, I changed my mind about hiding from them. I took the initiative to go to the community director’s office to meet with the director and the police chief and tell them the truth about Dafa. In addition to accepting the truth behind the persecution, they also helped me figure out how to deal with the upper-level officials.

The community director was about to retire, but the upper-level officers wanted her to stay. She asked for my advice. I said, “If you can use the favorable conditions of your position to protect Dafa practitioners, you will accumulate great virtue.” She nodded happily.

Clarifying the Truth to Officials at the District Office and Township Government

Among the five levels of governmental bodies, the lowest level, grassroots governments are the township governments in the countryside and district offices in cities. A single grassroots government office oversees thousands or even hundreds of thousands of residents. Over the years, these offices played important and active roles in the persecution of Falun Dafa. Through leading and coordinating with their local police stations, judicial offices, comprehensive management offices, and community and village committees, they monitored and harassed practitioners, operated brainwashing centers, and were even directly involved in arresting practitioners. Persecuting Dafa became part of the work performance evaluation for personnel at these levels of government.

In order to lessen the persecution, I went to clarify the truth about Dafa to the person in charge of persecuting practitioners at my community neighborhood office. After he understood the truth, he basically tried to protect the practitioners in our area. When an upper-level CCP government agency assigned tasks related to persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, he always dealt with it by submitting some forms, yet he did not actively persecute any practitioner. Instead, he helped reduce the persecution. So the situation in our area remained relatively peaceful.

After Talking to a PLAC Secretary, a Brainwashing Center Was Cancelled

The Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) is a CCP agency that provides leadership and coordination over public security, the Procuratorate, the courts, and the judiciary system in the persecution of Falun Dafa. A local PLAC secretary is always a member of the local CCP standing committee. The director of the 610 Office, which was created to persecute Dafa, is usually the deputy secretary of the PLAC in a given area.

The PLAC in my area had planned to create a brainwashing center and force all practitioners who did not renounce Falun Dafa to go there. They rented a place and informed the various departments and work units about the upcoming brainwashing center. When we practitioners learned this, we immediately sent forth righteous thoughts to dissolve the evil elements behind it. Meanwhile, we made leaflets to expose the evil act to the public.

The person serving as the director of our local 610 Office and deputy secretary of the PLAC was a friend of mine. I invited him to the seaside and clarified the truth about Dafa to him for several hours. I told him that whoever participates in the persecution of practitioners will be judged by history, and the wise thing to do is to use his position to suppress and dismantle the persecution: “By raising the muzzle of the gun by a few centimeters, you will be doing good deeds for yourself and your family. Don’t cause irreparable damage for your future,” He understood and canceled the brainwashing center.

Clarifying the Truth to a Public Security Bureau Director

The CCP’s Public Security Bureau is the main department involved in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Within it, the Domestic Security Bureau is specifically in charge of carrying out the persecution. Over the years, many practitioners were directly arrested by the Domestic Security police.

Right before July 20, 1999, the assistant of our local Dafa practice site already knew about the upcoming persecution. He asked if I could clarify the truth to the then director of the metropolis Domestic Security Bureau. I visited the director and talked to him about how Dafa benefits people and the nation, and the fact that Dafa is beneficial to families, employers, and to the government. The director expressed sympathy and understanding, but explained he could not stop the persecution. He said he had a sense of propriety in his heart, however, and hoped that I would be safe. After the persecution began, he behaved rationally and was soon transferred away from that position.

Clarifying the Truth to an Education Bureau Leader

The Education Bureau directly oversees kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, high schools, vocational high schools, and technical secondary schools in the region. Its influence on our youth is enormous. If this department is manipulated by the CCP, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of people’s minds will be poisoned.

The local Education Bureau was once preparing to launch a massive signature campaign to defame Falun Dafa in all primary and secondary schools in the city. Countless students would be harmed. Keeping strong righteous thoughts, I went to see the person in charge of organizing these activities. I told him that Falun Dafa is a great and virtuous practice that teaches people to be good. Former CCP head Jiang Zemin’s campaign against Dafa violated China’s constitution. So all those who fanned the flames in this campaign will be judged by history. 

He was very nervous after hearing this and said that he understood my intention, and he would carefully consider how to deal with this matter. We later heard this signature campaign came to nothing. It seemed that this leader had chosen the right path for his future.

A Director of Broadcasting Takes a Slanderous Campaign Off the Air

During the persecution, all CCP television stations in each province, city, and county broadcasted a large number of programs produced by China Central Televison (CCTV) to slander and defame Falun Dafa. Meanwhile, many local television stations made their own programs to defame Dafa. As the Fa-rectification progressed, these types of programs became the responsibility of the local stations.

The television station in my area suddenly started a series of programs defaming Dafa. With the cooperation of other practitioners, I took the initiative to find the director of the Radio and Television Bureau and said: “We all see the failure and end of this persecution of Falun Dafa coming. Even CCTV is embarrassed to broadcast these fake programs. Why do you continue to broadcast these things at this time?” 

The director said that the PLAC ordered them to broadcast them. He told me that he refused to broadcast it until the leader of the PLAC got angry and complained to the Minister of Propaganda. “They forced us to do this. We’ll stop it after two days.” Sure enough, the program was stopped a few days later.
