(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Jingrong Prosecuted
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Ying Arrested
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Xiangyu and Mr. Su Arrested
4. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Zong You Arrested
5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongmei Tried
6. [Shanghai] Ms. Cai Yufang and Ms. Yin Guihua Arrested
7. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Arrested
8. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Rong Encheng Placed Under Criminal Detention
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Jingrong Prosecuted
Liangjiangmingju community personnel and local police officers went to Ms. Zhu Jingrong’s home in the Caijia area, Beibei District, on April 16 and 19, 2024. They harassed 78-year-old Ms. Zhu, who faces prosecution again in the Jiangbei District Court.
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Ying Arrested
Ms. Gao Ying from Caotun Township, Beizhen City, was arrested by officers from Liaotun Town Police Station in Beizhen City on April 9, 2024, in her rented home in Goubangzi Town. She became incontinent after the officers brutally beat her at the police station. She is currently being held in the Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Xiangyu and Mr. Su Arrested
Ms. Chen Xiangyu was arrested at her home by officers from the No. 6 sub-team of the Criminal Police Team from Erdao District Police Department on April 18, 2024. The officers confiscated a printer and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Chen is being held in the Jinqianpu Police Station in Erdao District.
Mr. Su, nearly 70 years old, was arrested from his home in Changchun City on April 19 by officers from the Wanshun Police Station.
4. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Zong You Arrested
Zong You (gender unknown) from Dongli Town, Chenghai District, was distributing Falun Gong materials in Yanhong Town, Chenghai District, on March 15, 2024. Officers from the Yanhong Town Police Station followed Zong, and officers from the Chenghai District Police Department, Yanhong Town Police Station, and Dongli Town Police Station arrested Zong and ransacked Zong’s home.
Zong is now being held in the Chenghai District Detention Center.
5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongmei Tried
Ms. Wang Hongmei from Yinan County was tried in Yinan County around April 1, 2024. It’s not known where Ms. Wang is being held.
6. [Shanghai] Ms. Cai Yufang and Ms. Yin Guihua Arrested
Ms. Cai Yufang from Minhang District was arrested by officers from the Minhang Police Station on April 19, 2024.
Ms. Yin Guihua from Qingpu District was arrested on June 12, 2023. She was transferred from the Changning District Detention Center to the Qingpu District Detention Center.
7. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Arrested
Ms. Chen, in her 70s, was arrested in March 2024 while distributing Falun Gong materials in Wushang Plaza. Her whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Rong Encheng Placed Under Criminal Detention
Mr. Rong Encheng was reported to the police for talking to two students in a public bathhouse on April 6, 2024. Officers from the Shiying Police Station arrested him. After 14 days of detention, he was taken to the Fuyu City Detention Center.
