(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners from the Kuiwen District were arrested by officers from the Fangzi Police Department on the morning of April 22, 2024. They are Zhang Rongrong, Zhang Jianping, Li Xiaoyun and a practitioner surnamed Li. Their homes were ransacked.
2. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Caifeng Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Jiang Caifeng was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and fined 5000 yuan by the Pingdu City Court.
3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yuan Jundang and His Wife Ms. Zhao Yue’e Arrested
Mr. Yuan Jundang and his wife Ms. Zhao Yue’e, work in Tianjin. They were caught on surveillance cameras when they distributed truth clarifying materials on the street around April 15, 2024. They were later arrested at home.
4. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Wang Yuanxiu Arrested and Detained
Three officers from the Hejiangtao Police Station arrested Wang Yuanxiu (gender unknown) at noon on April 19, 2024. Wang’s home was ransacked around 8 p.m. The police confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a Falun Gong book, two calendars, and 300 yuan in cash printed with Falun Gong facts. Wang was sent to the Hengyang City Detention House.
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Mingxia Arrested
Ms. Li Mingxia was on the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) wanted list when she was arrested in Dagalebu Village of Zhucheng City on the afternoon of April 19, 2024. The police located her after she mailed some letters to the related officers including Pan Guojun, head of the police department.
6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Su Junjie Arrested and Detained
Mr. Su Junjie was arrested at home by twelve police officers at noon on April 22, 2024. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a laptop, three printers, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, his Falun Gong books, etc. It is unknown where Mr. Su is detained.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huilin Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Huilin was arrested at home by three officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station around 10 a.m. on April 22, 2024. She is currently detained in No.1 Detention Center of Tangshan City.
8. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted
Mr. Xiao Shurong was arrested at home by four officers including Xu, head of the Dulin Police Station on April 27, 2024. His home was ransacked. Two Falun Gong books were confiscated. Mr. Xiao was released the following day.
Ms. Shi Rui from Xinhua District and Ms. Jin Yue from Chenwei Village of Daguanting Township, are still held in the Cang County Detention Center.
9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Zhang Harassed
Four officers from the Dongzhan Police Station went to Zhang’s home on April 19, 2024. They ransacked it and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, all the Falun Gong books, computer, media player, and truth clarifying materials. Due to Zhang’s poor health, the police didn’t take him or her away.
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Yu Chaohui Arrested and Detained
Yu Chaohui (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Dongzhan Police Station in Erdao District on April 19, 2024. It was learned that Yu was sent to the Detention Center of the Changchun Legal Supervision Center.
11. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shouhui Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Shouhui was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Aojiabao Township on the morning of April 21, 2024 and was arrested by officers from the Aojiabao Township Police Station at 11 a.m. She was taken from the police station around 3 p.m. It was said that she is currently detained in the Fushun City Women’s Detention House.
12. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qiu Yuqin Detained
Ms. Qiu Yuqin was arrested in her daughter’s home in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province in September 2023. She was escorted back to Fangzheng County by two officers including Jiang Minjie, head of the Deshan Township Police Station in Fangzheng County. Ms. Qiu is currently detained in the Harbin City Detention Center.
13. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Qiang Huilan Harassed and Zhao Hongxing Arrested
Ms. Qiang Huilan, over 80, was harassed at home in Jiangtan Road of Weibin District by twelve officers at 9 p.m. on April 11, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
Zhao Hongxing (gender unknown) was arrested at home in Jiangtan Road of Weibin District at 9 p.m. on April 11, 2024.
14. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hao Zongkun and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Hao Zongkun was arrested at home on the morning of April 23, 2024. His wife was arrested around 5 p.m. Mr. Hao was released at 6 p.m. and his wife was released around 8 p.m.
15. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Qiuxia Arrested
Ms. Wang Qiuxia from Acheng District was arrested in April 2024.
16. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Zhang Qiping and Ms. Zhang Arrested and Detained
Zhang Qiping (gender unknown) from Zhangxinzhuang of Yangqiao Town was arrested on February 19, 2024. The police ransacked Zhang’s home and confiscated a computer and printer. Zhang was sent to a detention center.
Ms. Zhang from Kouzi Town of Yingdong District, around 50, was arrested in March 2024. She was sent to the Fuyang City Detention Center.
17. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Wang Zhaohong and Wen Cairong Arrested and Detained
Wang Zhaohong and Wen Cairong (genders unknown) were arrested by officers including Liu Lei from the Tuanpiaozhuang Police Station and Lei Shizong from the Zunhua Police Department for talking to people about Falun Gong in a market on the morning of April 16, 2024. The two practitioners were beaten in the police station. They were initially denied admission by the detention center because of the results of the medical examination but were eventually admitted because the police pressured the detention house. The two practitioners were detained for seven days.
18. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gong Shuliang and His Wife Harassed
Mr. Gong Shuliang and his wife were harassed at home three times from March to April 2024. The lock was damaged because the police pushed hard on the door.
