(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Guizhen and Ms. Wei Guilan Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu Arrested
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wu Arrested
4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Wang Bingjun’s Home Ransacked
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
6. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Arrested
1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Guizhen and Ms. Wei Guilan Arrested
Over 10 officers from the Wucheng County Police Department arrested Ms. Chu Guizhen and Ms. Wei Guilan on the afternoon of April 25, 2024. The officers ransacked Ms. Chu’s home for five hours. They confiscated several Minghui Weekly magazines and equipment for producing Falun Gong materials. Ms. Chu was taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center, and Ms. Wei was brought home that evening.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu Arrested
Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu from the Gezhenbao Sub-district in the Ganjingzi District were recently arrested in their respective homes. Further information is pending.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wu Arrested
Shortly before World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2024, officers from the Zhaolin Police Station in the Daoli District arrested Ms. Zhang, in her 50s, and Ms. Wu, who is 30 years old.
4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Wang Bingjun’s Home Ransacked
Two officers from the Tianyuan Police Station went to Wang Bingjun’s home and asked to take photos of him or her on May 11, 2024. They ransacked the place and confiscated personal belongings. They took Wang to the police station to sign paperwork and again demanded to take photos. Wang refused to cooperate.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Ms. Tian Xiumei, Ms. Wang Huan, and Ms. Wu Lina from the Liaozhong District have been held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center for 47 days. At first, they were told that their cases were under the jurisdiction of the Xinmin City Procuratorate. When their family members went there to get more information, they were told that the cases were handed over to the Liaozhong District Procuratorate. The procuratorate has sent the cases back to the Liaozhong District Police Department.
6. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Xiuzhen, Ms. Wang Xiuying, and Ms. He Qiuling from Xi’an Jiaotong University were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at Xi’an Northwest Commercial Center on the afternoon of May 14, 2024. They were arrested and body searched by officers from West Changle Road Police Station. Ms. He is still being held in the Xincheng Detention Center on East Changle Road. Ms. Li and Ms. Wang were released unconditionally. They returned home.
7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Numerous Practitioners Arrested
Before World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2024, several practitioners were harassed. Those who were harassed include Nie Shuqin, Zhang Xiuxia, Daming, the Zhang couple, Qu Yazhong, and Huang Yade. Police officers and community management personnel went to their homes to take photos and videos. They also asked the practitioners to sign the paperwork. None of the practitioners cooperated.
Mr. Sun and his wife were arrested and held in a detention center.
