(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiexi County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Meihong and Ms. Hong Xirong Arrested
Ms. Li Meihong and Ms. Hong Xirong were arrested near the Heshan Residential Community in Hepo Town on May 13, 2024, by officers from Hepo Town Police Station.
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Guifen Arrested
Ms. Li Guifen from Xingxingtun Village, Jiudaoling Town, Yi County, went to Dayushupu Town farmers market to tell people about Falun Gong on May 13, 2024. Dayushupu Town Police Station officers arrested her, ransacked her home, and confiscated a printer, a computer, and Falun Gong books.
3. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Shouna Detained
Ms. Li Shouna from the Meijiang District was arrested by 12 Meijiang District police officers for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of May 12, 2024. Her motorcycle was impounded, her home was ransacked, and numerous Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was detained for 15 days.
4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Qiling Detained
Ms. Zhou Qiling from Nianyu Village, Qingshan Township, was arrested at home by Qingshan Township Police Station officers on May 10, 2024. She was detained for 10 days.
5. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yamei Missing
Ms. Yamei’s family lost contact with her on May 2, 2024. They went to the Jianshe Road Police Station in the Jianhua District on the morning of May 13 to file a missing persons report. Officers from the Caihong Police Station in the Longsha District drove Ms. Zhu’s family members to her home, ransacked the place, and confiscated six Falun Gong books and several amulets and stickers with information about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu’s whereabouts are still unknown.
6. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Jiangu’s Home Ransacked; Ms. Wang Fuyun Arrested
Before World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2024, officers from the Xinhua Police Station in the Xiaonan District ransacked Ms. Yan Jiangu’s home and confiscated numerous Falun Gong books.
On May 8, officers from the Chengnan and Xiaogang Town Police Stations, both in the Xiaonan District, ransacked Ms. Wang Fuyun’s home in the countryside of Xiaogang Town. They confiscated over 200 Falun Gong printouts. Ms. Wang was arrested and detained in the Xiaonan Detention Center for 15 days.
7. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xiaoming Faces Trial
In August 2023, after Mr. Wang Xiaoming was fired from his job, he mailed a letter of complaint to the Fushun City Police Department, citing Liu Hanbo, director of the Xinbin County Police Department, for abuse of power. In October, Mr. Wang sent the “Application for Ordering Xinbin County Police Department to Reinstate Wang Xiaoming’s Employment Status” to the Fushun City Police Department. The Fushun Police Department refused to respond to his demands. Mr. Wang filed a case on the grounds of information disclosure regarding his complaint and application. After his case was reviewed by Fushun City Government, it was sent to the Wanghua District Court. The court rejected it, and Mr. Wang appealed to the Fushun City Intermediate Court.
The Fushun City Intermediate Court notified him that the trial would be held on May 15, 2024, but the date was later changed to May 21.
8. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Huo Guilan Held in Detention Center
On the afternoon of April 11, 2024, officers from the Weibin and Jintai Districts arrested practitioners Ms. Liu Lingzhi, Ms. Luo Cuilian, Ms. Xiao Bing, Ms. Huo Guilan, and Ms. Wang Guaiyan, both 73. Ms. Huo is now being held in the Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center.
9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qi Enxiang and Ms. Li Xiuhua Arrested
Ms. Qi Enxiang, in her 50s, was arrested by officers from Jilin Street Police Station on April 23, 2024.
Ms. Li Xiuhua from the Changchun Automobile Factory was also arrested in recent days.
10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Lifang Detained
Ms. Xu Lifang from the Zhongshan District was arrested by Kuiying Street Police Station officers on the afternoon of May 10, 2024. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and two computers. Ms. Xu was detained for 15 days.
11. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Lihua’s Home Ransacked
Three officers from Lalin Town Police Station broke into Ms. Wang Lihua’s home on the afternoon of May 6, 2024, and ransacked the place. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books.
12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ding Bo Arrested
Mr. Ding Bo from the Jingyue District was arrested at his home a few days ago.
13. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Gu Zhenyuan Held in Detention Center
Gu Zhenyuan was arrested and held in the Zhengzhou City No. 3 Detention Center.
