(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jiang Quan Imprisoned
2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] 13 Practitioners Arrested
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Wei Arrested
4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Yan Youzhong Arrested and Detained
5. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Xiang Yan Missing
6. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Chunyan Detained
7. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Lu Manxiang Arrested and Detained
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Persecuted
1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jiang Quan Imprisoned
Ms. Jiang Quan from the Jiang’an District was arrested around May 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was first detained in the Dijiao Brainwashing Center in the Jiang’an District and then in the Yushunshan Brainwashing Center in the Hanyang District.
It was learned on May 7, 2024 that, after Ms. Jiang was detained for one year, she was transferred to a women’s prison in Baofeng Road, Wuhan City.
2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] 13 Practitioners Arrested
Twelve practitioners were arrested on the morning of April 23, 2024. Four practitioners over 75, Luo Taoying, Pei Hexian, Wang Lixin, and Cheng Xiqing, were released around 7 p.m. The other eight practitioners have been detained. They are Zhu Zaoxian, Tang Shumin, Chen Xinchun, Wang Lanying, Zhou Hanming, Chen Qiaoyun, Cheng Weiping, and Zhang [first name unknown].
Huang Lianwan was arrested at his or her workplace on the afternoon of April 27, 2024.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Wei Arrested
Mr. Cong Wei was arrested at his workplace by officers from the Hekou Police Station in Gaoxinyuan District on the afternoon of May 9, 2024. His home was then ransacked and anything related to Falun Gong was confiscated.
4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Yan Youzhong Arrested and Detained
Yan Youzhong was arrested by officers from the Wangyizhen Police Station on March 12, 2024 and was held for 37 days in a detention house. Yan was arrested again a few days later after being released, and has been detained in the Changsong Brainwashing Center since.
5. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Xiang Yan Missing
Xiang Yan [gender unknown] has been missing for nearly a month.
6. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Chunyan Detained
Ms. Liu Chunyan was taken to the Changsong Brainwashing Center on May 8, 2024.
7. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Lu Manxiang Arrested and Detained
Ms. Lu Manxiang was arrested by plainclothes officers when talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of May 6, 2024. It is unknown where she is detained.
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Persecuted
Ms. Xu Qingyan was carried out from the detention center on April 30, 2024. She had been on hunger strike.
Ms. Fu Guihua was released on May 4, 2024 after being detained for 10 days.
Ms. Dong Ying and Ms. Wu Yanqiu were released on May 7, 2024.
Ms. Shen Xueju from the Guta District was released from a detention house on May 8, 2024.
Ms. Hu Yuyuan was released on May 8, 2024. She was held for 8 days in a detention house and 7 days in a detention center.
