(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County and Miaoli County gathered at Longtan Lake, a famous tourist attraction in Taoyuan City, Taiwan on May 5, 2024. They celebrated the 25th World Falun Dafa Day and Master Li’s birthday.

The practitioners expressed their gratitude to Master for the benefits they received from practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). They also hoped that through the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performances, exercise demonstrations, and other activities, they could tell local people and tourists in Longtan about Falun Dafa.
The parade passed through Longyuan Road, Donglong Road, Longyuan Road, Shenlong Road and other streets. The Tian Guo Marching Band’s performances drew many people. When they saw the parade, some people said, “Falun Gong is amazing!” and, “Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are great.”

People Commend Falun Gong and Condemn the Persecution
Ms. Huang from Zhongli said that her sister and brother-in-law both practice Falun Gong. She said, “My sister and brother-in-law are in good health and have a happy family after they began practicing Falun Gong. Many things done by practitioners are very good.”
Ms. Huang said she knew about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. She said, “It’s very bad. There is also organ harvesting [which targets Falun Gong practitioners]. This is really bad.” Ms. Huang said that Falun Gong teaches people to be good people, and it is the most selfless and the only group that does not charge a fee. She participated in the parade in order to let more know about Falun Gong.
Mr. Li listened to the emcee’s introduction. He said that he read news reports about Falun Gong in the media. He said, “They [the Chinese Communist Party] are a dictatorship, but Taiwan is free.” He said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) promotes atheism and cannot tolerate people with beliefs.
The melodious music of the Tian Guo Marching Band made Mr. Chang feel very comfortable when he took a long walk along Longtan Lake. Mr. Chang said that he saw practitioners perform at the lantern festival in Taoyuan before, and he also saw practitioners raising awareness of the persecution in some scenic spots in Taiwan. He agreed with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. He knew that the former CCP head initiated the persecution out of jealousy because so many people in China practiced. Mr. Chang took some information about Falun Gong so he could learn more.
Mr. Huang (81 years old) and Mr. Cai (84 years old), from Changhua who were part of a one-day tour of the Senior Citizens Association, quietly watched the Falun Gong parade. Mr. Huang said that many politicians do not understand the nature of the CCP. He was worried about their close interactions with it. He was grateful to see practitioners telling people about the persecution.
Mr. Lin stood on the roadside and watched the parade. He said that a few years ago, through social media platforms, he learned about the CCP’s persecution, including the CCP-sanctioned organ harvesting from practitioners. He expressed indignation at the CCP’s brutality. He said that the parade can let more people know the true nature of the CCP. He said that the CCP continues to expand its armaments and poses a threat to the world and Taiwan.
Mr. Hsu, 74, lives near Longtan Lake and once served as a commander and protected the president. He said, “The Chinese Communist Party is an autocratic and totalitarian system that cannot tolerate large groups.” He also knew about the CCP-sanctioned organ harvesting, and said, “The principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance that Falun Gong follows are really needed in modern society and must be promoted. Falun Gong teaches people to do good deeds, have good intentions, and be good people. It’s very good.”
Mr. Cai, who does business with politicians, was happy to receive information about Falun Gong. He said that he has a very good impression of Falun Gong. It’s very good to practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he said. He also said that the CCP treats Falun Gong as a political issue and brutally persecutes practitioners. There is nothing wrong with Falun Gong, and practitioners didn’t do anything wrong. He also praised practitioners for letting more people know about the persecution through activities such as the parade.
Mr. Yang accepted information about Falun Gong and said he wished to practice.
Mr. Yang, who sells goods from his stall next to Longtan Lake, said that it was the first time he’s seen such a grand celebration of Falun Gong in the past three or four years. Because he meditates and knows that life is short, he was looking for a cultivation practice. He said he often heard about Falun Gong before and saw practitioners in scenic spots, so he was happy to have the opportunity to learn more about the practice. When he learned that practitioners taught the exercises for free he asked a practitioner about the Falun Dafa website and the practice site near his home. He said he planned to go there and learn the exercises.
