(Minghui.org) In celebration of the 25th World Falun Dafa Day and the 32nd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction, Baltimore County Executive John A. Olszewski, Jr. issued a proclamation recognizing May 13, 2024, as World Falun Dafa Day.

The proclamation reads, in part, “May 13, 2024, marks the 25th World Falun Dafa Day. It was first designated on May 13, 2000, to celebrate the Falun Dafa spiritual discipline and its positive impact on the health and spirit of millions around the world.
“This year on May 13, also marks both the 32nd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the birthday of its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi. On this occasion, Falun Dafa practitioners will host celebrations in various locations worldwide, as well as in our area.
“Mr. Li’s teachings and lectures have been translated into over 40 languages. His works can be viewed or downloaded from the Falun Dafa website, and the exercises and meditation can be learned for free from its website or volunteer practice sites in over 80 countries. Falun Dafa is always taught free of charge.
“The occasion also highlights Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to uphold their freedom of belief in the face of brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist regime since 1999.”
