(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zeng Xiuqin lives in Fugui Village, Chengjiang Town, Meixian District. She and seven other practitioners were arrested at her home by about 13 officers from the Meixian District Domestic Security Division and the Chengjiang Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 17, 2024. The officers seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and the keys to the practitioners’ homes. The seven practitioners are: Ms. Xie Guofen, Ms. Zou Xiufen, Ms. Zeng Xuzhen, Liu Haibo (gender unknown), Ms. Liu Biqing, He Xinfeng (gender unknown), and Fan Laiying (gender unknown). Two other female practitioners, Feng and Fen, were arrested at their own home.
Ms. Liu and Fan Laiying were released. Ms. Zeng Xiuqin, Feng, and Fen are being held in the Meixian District Lockup in Zhuyang Village. Ms. Zou, Ms. Zeng Xiuzhen, Liu Haibo, and He Xinfeng might be held in the Meixian County Detention Center.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Wang Xin’ai Detained
Wang Xin’ai, gender unknown, has been held at the Xiying Police Station in Luancheng District since April 11, 2024.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Fengwei and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Fengwei, in her 50s, lives in Longtaifuyuan Neighborhood in Nanguan District. She was arrested at home by six or seven officers who claimed they were from the Yuandada Street Police Station after 6:00 a.m. on April 19, 2024. The police ransacked the place and seized several personal items. She was sent to a detention center.
Ms. Huo Runqing left home to pay her water bill at 8:00 a.m. on April 19, 2024. She never returned. An officer from the Rongguang Police Station called her family that night and said she was arrested with another person but did not give any details.
4. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Shuying and Ms. Gao Guiyun Arrested
Ms. Gao Shuying and Ms. Gao Guiyun were arrested by officers from the Huangtuzhuang Town Police Station on April 19, 2024, after someone reported them when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in a supermarket in Huangtuzhuang.
5. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Zou Binyun Detained
Linwu County practitioner Zou Binyun, gender unknown, was arrested in Guangdong Province on April 14, 2024. Zou is being held in the Linwu Detention Center in Chenzhou City.
6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Ximei Arrested
Ms. Zhang Ximei was arrested on the evening of April 9, 2024.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ge Mingbo Harassed
Agents from the Changchun City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and officers from a police station in the Erdao District went to Ms. Ge Mingbo’s home on April 19, 2024. She was not there. The police seized her husband’s cell phone and keys, and ransacked their home and garage.
8. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Aihua Detained
Ms. Huang Aihua was arrested by officers from the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division on April 16, 2024. She is being held in the Chongyang County Detention Center. The police have repeatedly harassed her.
9. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
The Dehui City Police Department ordered officers in its subordinate police stations to arrest several Dehui City practitioners on March 11, 2024. The practitioners who were arrested were: Bai Ruisong, Lin Hongfei, Zhang Wei, Cui Tao, Liu Xiuhua, Wang Xiuhua, Jiang Baozhen, teacher Ma, and Wang Shumin. Their Falun Gong books and other personal items were confiscated. Bai Ruisong and Zhang Wei were released several hours later. Cui Tao, Lin Hongfei, Liu Xiuhua, Wang Xiuhua, Jiang Baozhen, and teacher Ma were detained for five days before they were released. Wang Shumin is subjected to criminal detention and is being held in the Dehui Detention Center.
10. [Shanghai] Mr. Qu Fei Frequently Harassed
Mr. Qu Fei was subjected to frequent harassment in April 2024. On April 18, Tang Zhenghua of the Liutuan Police Station and three officers knocked on his door for half an hour.
For 2.5 years before that, the police had harassed the tenants living in Mr. Qu’s apartments, demanding to record information on their IDs and questioning them if they practiced Falun Gong themselves. Some tenants were still harassed by officer Chu Yanyan even six months after they moved out. Due to the non-stop harassment, Mr. Qu had to close his rental business, which was his major income. Yet the police still harassed him afterward.
