(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Cheng Laihua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. An Shunlian Faces Trial
3. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Case Against Mr. Jin Longzhe Submitted to the Court
4. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuqin Arrested
5. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lijie Arrested and Detained
6. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xu Wangsuo and Ms. Wang Chunfang Arrested
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jingfen Arrested
8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Yufeng Arrested
9. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Guichun Faces Third Hearing
10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Hongying Arrested and Detained
1. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Cheng Laihua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
It was learned that Ms. Cheng Laihua was sentenced to four years in prison and sent to the Jiangxi Province Women’s Prison.
2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. An Shunlian Faces Trial
Ms. An Shunlian learned on March 20, 2024 that her case was submitted to the Xishan District Court. Ms. An’s legs are in great pain and she has difficulty walking. Her condition has been reported but the Xishan District Court scheduled a hearing at 9:30 a.m. on April 10, 2024.
3. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Case Against Mr. Jin Longzhe Submitted to the Court
Mr. Jin Longzhe has been detained in the Tumen City Detention Center. His case was transferred to the Longjing City Court in early November 2023.
4. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuqin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shuqin from the Jincheng Sub-district was arrested on the morning of March 31, 2024 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
5. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lijie Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liu Lijie was recently arrested and taken to the Bazhou City Detention Center.
6. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xu Wangsuo and Ms. Wang Chunfang Arrested
Mr. Xu Wangsuo was arrested in early March 2024, and his home was ransacked. He has been detained since.
Ms. Wang Chunfang was arrested at her home by several plainclothes officers on April 7, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and truth clarifying materials. Ms. Wang was taken to the police department, but was released later that day on bail pending trial.
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jingfen Arrested
Ms. Li Jingfen, 83, was arrested at home on the morning of April 6, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She was released at midnight.
8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Yufeng Arrested
Ms. Xu Yufeng was reported to police for talking to a man about Falun Gong, and was arrested by officers from the Guanghua Road Police Station on January 1, 2024. She was released the next day.
Ms. Xu was arrested again for talking to people about Falun Gong at a bus stop on March 1, 2024. She was taken to the Guanghua Road Police Station, then to a detention center that night. The police ransacked her home and confiscated two computers, her Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. Ms. Xu was held for 30 days in a detention center and then released on bail pending trial.
9. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Guichun Faces Third Hearing
Ms. Feng Guichun, who works in the linyi City Central Blood Station, has been detained for over seven months. She was twice tried in the Lanshan District Court, on January 18, 2024 and March 27, 2024. She now faces a third hearing on April 12, 2024.
10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Hongying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Gu Hongying was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying materials, and arrested by officers from the Xiangjiang Police Station on the afternoon of March 17, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated several Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, her computer, etc. Ms. Gu was detained five days in Liangshui Town, on March 19-24, 2024.
