Clarifying the Truth While Taking Photos

(Minghui.org) I live near a popular tourist attraction, and local Falun Dafa practitioners go there, help people take pictures and use the opportunity to clarify the truth about the persecution.

Most of us didn’t know anything about photography or have the skills needed to take pictures, for example knowledge about aperture settings or how to use wide angles. Dafa opened our wisdom and gave us the ability to take good photos so we could tell people about the persecution and save them.

We’ve now become proficient in photography, and people are happy with the photos we take of them. After they see the photos many people say, “I look so nice!”

When a practitioner offered to help three tourists take pictures, they were reluctant. The practitioner said, “I don’t charge anything. You can delete it if you aren’t satisfied.” They reluctantly agreed. After they saw the photos they thanked the practitioner and hugged her. She then told them that millions of Chinese already quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and why it’s important to distance oneself from the Party.

Tour groups consisting of 10 - 30 people visit the area and we offer to take pictures of them. Those who we talk to about withdrawing from the CCP say, “What you say is true, and I accept it.” Some buy us water or give us fruit; others offer us money, which we politely refuse; some invite us to dinner.

Some people are moved to tears. One person said, “You so good! You help us take pictures but you don’t want anything.” A practitioner explained, “Those who practice Falun Dafa are good people. Our Master taught us to be kind and considerate of others.” One person said, “I’ll tell everyone I know that Falun Dafa is good!”

The scenery is especially beautiful in winter, and people from all over China visit the area. Some practitioners have to travel more than an hour to get there. Because we stand in the cold for hours we wear warm clothes. But it’s difficult to take photos when one has gloves on, so we take them off. Over time, the flesh on their bare hands crack, but practitioners still happily continue to help people and clarify the truth to them.

It was almost Chinese New Year but practitioners knew that people were in danger, so it was urgent to continue clarifying the truth and offering to help them withdraw from the CCP—even on Chinese New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, practitioners did not stop saving people.

During Chinese New Year last year, a practitioner’s daughter and her family came from out of town to visit her parents, but the practitioner did not want to miss the opportunity to save people during the holiday, so she went out early every day to the scenic attraction. Afterwards, she came home and celebrated with her family. This practitioner’s family knows that Dafa is good and supports her in practicing Falun Dafa.

Overcoming Interference

Over time, practitioners realized that someone was watching us. They either hid and watched us, or secretly took pictures and videos of us. We asked people to change the location, so we wouldn’t be interfered with. We also sent righteous thoughts towards that person: Falun Dafa practitioners are doing the most righteous thing—saving people. We sent out the thought: Don’t follow the evil and persecute practitioners. You should choose a future for yourself!

At one point, someone reported us to the police, and three practitioners were taken to the police station. They had no fear, and sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors that persecute Falun Dafa and practitioners. One practitioner reminded the others, If the police participate in the persecution of Dafa and practitioners, they will have no future. The practitioners did not cooperate or answer any questions. They all returned home safely that night.

A practitioner was followed by the police while he was clarifying the truth to people. The policeman took out his mobile phone and tried to photograph the practitioner, and tried to make phone calls. The practitioner thought to himself: You have no control over Falun Dafa practitioners. He sternly told the policeman: “You should be catching bad people. I’m not a criminal! No photos, and no phone calls.” The policeman was speechless and walked away.

Whether they were photographed, harassed, or followed, practitioners avoided danger. This is a testament to what Master said, “When disciples have ample righteous thoughts, Master has the power to turn the tide” (“The Master-Disciple Bond,” Hong Yin II).

We have no regrets about our choices. We will follow Master and continue to save more people.
