(Minghui.org) Practitioners held their weekly event on December 14, 2024 to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people about the 25-year-long persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They have been holding these informational events since 2019 on Republic Street in the heart of Brașov.
Practitioners set up their informational booth along the pedestrian street, including banners that described Falun Dafa and its three principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Many passersby stopped to read the banners and talked with practitioners.
People accepted the leaflets and calendars practitioners offered, which had information about Falun Dafa. They also signed petitions to stop the CCP’s human rights abuses against practitioners in China, including the crime of forced organ harvesting.

An Economist Praises Falun Dafa and Condemns the CCP’s Persecution

Diana Rusu, an economist from Brașov, learned about Falun Dafa in 2019 and said it can have a major beneficial impact on people if they live by its principles. For five years, she has been supportive of practitioners in their efforts to save their fellow practitioners in China from the persecution, and stopped to offer her thoughts on the practice and its beneficial qualities.
“By following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the impact is major on people, giving them the opportunity for spiritual growth and self-esteem through a disciplined practice. Certainly each and every one of us can benefit from these values. Practicing Falun Dafa helps people experience many health benefits such as increased energy, mental clarity, and relieving stress,” she said.
Diana said she felt that tens of millions of people from cultures around the world practice Falun Dafa because “its teachings encourage practitioners to let go of unhealthy attachments, guiding their lives by the basic characteristics of the universe, namely Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.”
She said that the persecution should make people think about whether it’s good for the universal values of humanity—that are part of all righteous cultures, to be at the mercy of totalitarian regimes. On the contrary, the people of the world should make another choice for having a good future.
She said, “The deaths of thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 25 years should be the main reason for people around the world to awaken their conscience and for the Chinese people to renounce the CCP and its affiliated organizations, thereby encouraging a peaceful movement for transformation and change.
“My message to all persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners in China would be to continue on the deeply fulfilling spiritual path they have discovered, as it alone will give them the truth, and to find the strength and support to form legal organizations in an effort to combat the harmful effects of an atheistic ideology,” Diana said.
Tourist Drawn to the Peaceful Atmosphere
A woman from Bucharest passing by on Republic Street noticed the Falun Dafa booth and started chatting with practitioners.
”I came to this place because I was drawn by the calm atmosphere, the tranquility and the smiles of the people here,” she said.
She signed all three petitions to stop the forced organ harvesting. She also said that she wanted to take calendars for her fellow travelers to bring back home to Bucharest. The calendars, she said, would make wonderful Christmas presents.
A family from Sighișoara were in Brașov for its Christmas Fair. They stopped by the Falun Dafa booth because they saw practitioners in a parade in Budapest. They said the practitioners’ presence in the parade was “extraordinary,” and greatly impressed them. The family walked in the parade alongside the practitioners, and said that they were most moved by the practitioners’ smiles.
Head of Sales: Practitioners Are a Blessing and Role Models
Gabriela Tabarcea, the head of a sales office in Bucharest, said that Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are divine values and practicing them brings one closer to the Creator. If one lives and practices them, life becomes beautiful, easy and good.
She also encourages practitioners in China “to remain steadfast in what they do, not to lose or change their belief about Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. They are a true blessing to us and an example to follow! Thank you!" ”
Young People Praise the Values of Falun Dafa
Stefan said that the principles of Falun Dafa are very important.
Stefan, a student from Brașov, signed the petitions and said, “I feel like I’ve helped millions of people. What’s happening in China right now doesn’t seem normal to me. It’s inhuman. Falun Dafa’s principles are very important, in fact they are the most important.”
Larisa, another student who signed the petitions, echoed Stefan’s sentiments, “I saw what this is about and I thought that it’s not right that other people die in prisons for what they believe. The values of Falun Dafa are very important, without them even a friendship doesn’t work,” she said. With emotion in her voice Larisa said she has a message for practitioners in China: “To endure as long as they can, as we are going to do something. Hope dies last.”
Ana from Brașov signed the petitions and said that something must be done to stop the repression of practitioners. She then explained to her child as she showed her the persecution banner, “Look at what communism does, it destroys lives. You must know the truth about communism.”
Vlăduț supports practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.
Vlăduț from Brașov saw the petition booth and asked about Falun Dafa and the persecution. He then signed all three petitions.
Olimpia from Brașov knew about the persecution from watching the documentary Medical Genocide: Hidden Mass Crimes in China’s Organ Transplant Industry and came on her own initiative to sign the petitions.
Elevating in Cultivation Together
The outreach event in Brașov was the highlight of a multi-day gathering of Falun Dafa practitioners throughout Romania, which was held from December 12 to 15. Over these four days, the practitioners read the Falun Dafa teachings together, discussed their recent cultivation experiences, and shared insights on how they can better apply the three principles of Falun Dafa in their daily lives. They also meditated outdoors as a group to help introduce Falun Dafa.
