(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 1 province, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Pengcheng and Fu Chongchun Face Trial
2. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Li Hongwei Detained
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaming and Mr. Sun Jian Sentenced
4. [Beijing] Ms. Zheng Jinzhi Incarcerated
1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Pengcheng and Fu Chongchun Face Trial
Mr. Qu Pengcheng, 59, and Fu Chongchun, gender unknown, were arrested on May 18, 2024 by officers from Liaoyang City’s Gongchangling Domestic Security Division, Anshan City’s Tiedong Police Department, and Anshan City’s Heping Police Station. The Dengta City Procuratorate issued their arrest warrants on June 20, 2024.
The procuratorate submitted the case to the Dengta City Court on November 12, 2024. They were scheduled to stand trial at 9 a.m. on December 3, 2024.
2. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Li Hongwei Detained
Li Hongwei, gender unknown, was arrested at home around 8 p.m. on November 21, 2024, by police from Chengde City, Hebei Province. Li is being held in Chengde City Detention Center.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaming and Mr. Sun Jian Sentenced
Ms. Zhang Yaming and Mr. Sun Jian were sentenced by the Linghai City Court on November 14, 2024. Mr. Sun was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 7,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan.
4. [Beijing] Ms. Zheng Jinzhi Incarcerated
Ms. Zheng Jinzhi of Xicheng District, 82, was recently admitted to the Beijing Women’s Prison to serve an unknown term.
