(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhao Hengde Released After Serving Three Years
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Guohong to Be Released After Serving Three Years and Two Months
1. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Case Transferred to Gaoxin District Court
Ms. Chen Yanqiu from the Gaoxin District was arrested on July 12, 2024, by officers from Chengde City Police Department, Gaoxin District Police Department, Fengyingzi Police Station, and Chengde County Police Department. Her case was first submitted to the Shuangqiao District Court and then transferred to the Gaoxin District Court on December 4, 2024.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested, Two of Them Detained
Five practitioners from Shouguang City were arrested by Shanglin Police Station officers on December 3, 2024, in Linqu County’s Shanglin Street Market for distributing desk calendars with information about Falun Gong. Ms. Lin Yongfeng and Ms. Meng Guihua were taken to the Linqu County Detention Center by Linqu County Domestic Security Division officers. It isn’t clear what happened to the other three practitioners.
3. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Liping Arrested
Ms. Qi Liping, 67, was arrested by two officers at noon on November 25, 2024, for distributing Falun Gong desk calendars. She was taken to the Xiangyang Police Station for interrogation. The police seized the key to her home and residential identity card from her backpack, ransacked her home with two community clerks, and seized her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. Her family followed them to the police department and managed to get her released.
The police called her several times the next morning, ordering her to report to the station to be photographed. Knowing that she wouldn’t cooperate, they called her eldest daughter, threatening to withold her salary, expel her child from school, and not let her child take the college entry exam. Under tremendous pressure, Ms. Qi’s daughter called her and insisted that she go to the police station. Ms. Qi had no choice but to go.
4. [Wangdu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Qiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Liu Qiuzhen lives in Liutuo Village, Zhonghan Town. She was arrested by township police station officers on October 17, 2024. The detention Center would not admit her because of her blood pressure so she was released that same day.
5. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lei Shengping Detained, Two Others Harassed
Ms. Lei Shengping was arrested and admitted to a detention center on the morning of November 30, 2024, by four officers from Chibi City Domestic Security Division.
Ms. Lai Qunying and Ms. Chen Dingzhen were summoned to the police station for questioning on November 27, 2024.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Jinhong Faces Detention
Ms. Yu Jinhong was arrested by Huaidi Police Station officers in April 2020, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong flyers. She was given a short detention, which was not enforced back then due to the pandemic.
The police recently called Ms. Yu recently and ordered her to get a physical exam at a designated hospital, saying that city police department wanted to close her case. The caller said she would be detained for 15 days if she passed the physical. It remains to be investigated if she was taken back into custody.
7. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhao Hengde Released After Serving Three Years
Mr. Zhao Hengde, 67, was released from Shizhuishan Prison in the end of November 2024, after he completed a three-year sentence.
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Guohong to Be Released After Serving Three Years and Two Months
Mr. Yang Guohong of Kangping County was arrested on October 17, 2021, by officers from Shenyang City Domestic Security Division and Faku County Domestic Security Division. He was sentenced to three years and two months. He is scheduled to be released from the Jinzhou Prison on December 16, 2024.
