(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Wei Suwen Arrested and Detained
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Xiuqiong Faces Indictment
3. [Ulanhot City, Inner Mongolia] Four Practitioners Arrested
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Jumei Missing
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Guiying Arrested
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xixin Arrested and Detained
1. [Beijing] Ms. Wei Suwen Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wei Suwen from Xicheng District was arrested by officers from the Tiantan Police Station on August 15, 2024. She is being detained in the Dongcheng District Detention Center.
Ms. Wei was placed under official arrest on August 30, 2024. It was learned on November 30, 2024 that her case was returned to the Dongcheng District Police Department.
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Xiuqiong Faces Indictment
Ms. Yu Xiuqiong from Xindu District was arrested by plainclothes officers on August 20, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She was placed under criminal detention for 15 days and her arrest was approved afterwards. She is now facing indictment after the police has submitted her case to the procuratorate.
3. [Ulanhot City, Inner Mongolia] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Bao Yingchun and Ms. Li Yiping were arrested near a bus station in Ulanhot City on November 26, 2024. They were taken to the police department, where they saw Ms. Li Xiuzhi and Ms. Wang Jinhua, who were arrested earlier that day.
The four practitioners were taken to the Ulanhot City Hospital for physical exams. Despite Ms. Li Xiuzhi and Ms. Bao being found to have high blood pressure, they and Ms. Li Yiping were detained in the basement of the Ulanhot Police Department. Ms. Wang’s situation is unknown.
Ms. Li Xiuzhi, Ms. Bao, and Ms. Li Yiping were later put on administrative detention. Due to her high blood pressure, Ms. Bao was denied admission by the lockup and subsequently released.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Jumei Missing
Ms. Yu Jumei, in her 60s, from Dongxihu District, has been missing since November 20, 2024. Her family has searched for her in many places to no avail.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Guiying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Guiying was reported to police for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Nanzhao Police Station and the Changping District Police Department on the afternoon of October 26, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She was denied admission to the detention center and released late in the evening on October 27, 2024.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xixin Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhang Xixin, from Binxi Town of Bin County, was arrested at home by three officers including Zhu Chunyu, chief of Binxi Town Police Station, on November 19, 2024. He was detained for five days in the Bin County Lockup.
