(Minghui.org) A 52-year-old man serving four years has been placed in solitary confinement and denied family visits in recent days for “making serious mistakes.”

Mr. Han Chunlong of Heishan County, Liaoning Province, was arrested on October 2, 2023, for his faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999. He was sentenced to four years and fined 30,000 yuan on March 25, 2024. The Shenyang City Intermediate Court rejected his appeal on an unknown date, and he was admitted to Division Nine of Jinzhou Prison in August 2024.

Mr. Han’s family tried to deposit money into his commissary account but was unable to due to computer issues. When they visited him in October 2024, they learned that he had no money to purchase daily necessities and struggled to take care of his daily needs. A guard monitored the entire meeting.

When Mr. Han’s family went to the prison again on November 1, 2024, they were not allowed to see him. A guard said that he had “made serious mistakes” and had been put in solitary confinement for “corrective treatment.” The guard also threatened to extend Mr. Han’s prison term. His family asked to talk to the guards in Division Nine but were not allowed to. The guard they spoke to called Division Nine, which simply reiterated that Mr. Han had “made mistakes.”

Prior to his latest prison sentence, Mr. Han served four years, from 2012 to 2016, and endured horrific torture. See the related reports for details of his past persecution and latest sentencing.
