(Minghui.org) After reading a recent Minghui article reminding practitioners to pay attention to cell phone security, I feel that it is important to share my new knowledge and personal experience.
I occasionally stayed in contact with a non-practitioner friend through WeChat. I met him last year when I returned to my hometown. One day, out of nowhere, he told me that he knew my location at all times. Shocked, I asked him how. He explained that he had purchased an app that allows him to track anyone on his WeChat contact list.
A cell phone, especially one made in China, is essentially a surveillance device that can locate, track, and monitor its owner. If an ordinary person can easily track anyone on their contact list, imagine what the CCP government is capable of doing.
Another point I want to highlight is that recording devices, including doorbell cameras, are often connected to police departments. If a practitioner installs such a camera, it’s essentially aiding the police in monitoring their own activities. If your neighbors have this type of equipment, you should be extra careful about protecting both your own and others’ safety.
