(Minghui.org) Two Cangzhou City, Hebei Province residents were arrested on March 23, 2023, after being reported for talking to a few villagers about Falun Gong. The villagers didn’t only refuse to listen to Ms. Liu Yanmin and Ms. Fen Qing, but also took their photos and sent them to a chat group on WeChat, a popular Chinese social media platform, as the government has posted rewards for people who report Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

After Ms. Liu and Ms. Fen were taken to the Wobei Police Station, Ms. Liu experienced some discomfort and vomited. The police accused her of pretending. She explained that it was caused by mental distress.

The police took them to the hospital for physical examination and both of them were found to have high blood pressure. They were thus released on bail around midnight.

The police gave Ms. Liu’s husband a ten-day detention notice on the next day and ordered him to take her to the local detention center. She refused to go.

The police also attempted to take Ms. Fen into custody. She refused to comply and has been forced to live away from home to hide from the police.
