(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Zongxi Faces Trial
Ms. Shi Zongxi from Mancheng District will be tried by the Shunping County Court on February 17, 2023. She has been held in the Mancheng District Detention Center since 2021.
2. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guijie’s Life Is in Danger
Mr. Luan Dewu, Ms. Liu Guijie, Mr. Zhang Qian, and Ms. Wang Li were arrested by officers from the Shuanglong Police Station while she was driving on the evening of February 6, 2023. Ms. Liu, Mr. Zhang, and Ms. Wang were held in Gongzhuling City Detention Center.
Ms. Liu later developed severe high blood pressure and was admitted to the Gongzhuling Central Hospital, where at one point her life was in danger.
On February 11, officers from the Shuanglong Police Station tried to contact Ms. Lin’s family members to release her. However when her family rushed to the hospital early the next morning, the officers changed their minds, and claimed that they simply wanted to notify the family that she would be hospitalized. They refused to release her.
3. [Beijing] Mr. Cui Yong and His Wife Ms. Li Cuiping Missing
Mr. Cui Yong and his wife Ms. Li Cuiping from Changping District have been missing since the end of December 2022.
4. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Guifeng and Ms. Li Ying Arrested
Seven or eight officers from the Jianqiao Police Station ransacked the homes of Ms. Sun Guifeng and Ms. Li Ying, including the basements, on the morning of December 8, 2022. They confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and audio players. The two elderly practitioners were taken to the police station and locked in two separate rooms for interrogation.
An officer, who looked ferocious, threatened them. They were released two days later after the officers forced the two practitioners to sign paperwork.
5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yun’s Family Harassed
Two people from No. 3 Criminal Police Team in Zhuozhou City knocked on the door of Mr. Wang Yun’s home to check whether he was at home around 8:40 p.m. on January 24, 2023. At first, Mr. Wang’s family refused to unlock the gate. Officer Liu Gen pointed the flashing, intensified beam of his flashlight at Mr. Wang’s wife, Ma Fengxia’s eyes.
After they agreed to allow the family to videotape the process, they searched each room and the yard. The two people did not leave until after 9 p.m.
Mr. Wang has been arrested several times and sentenced to prison. He is now displaced.
6. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Zheng Guangying Arrested
Zheng Guangying from Ying’emen Town was reported to the police by a villager while she clarified the truth about the persecution on February 11, 2023. She was arrested by officers from the Qingyuan County Police Department. She was taken to the Fushun City Detention Center the following day for 10 days of detention. Details are pending.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Held in Custody
Ms. Wu Shuling from Kaiping District was followed, videotaped, and arrested by three plainclothes officers while clarifying the truth at the Guye Market on February 2, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She returned home safely after 10 days in detention.
On February 7, three other practitioners were arrested while clarifying the truth in the Guye Market. They are currently being held in the Guye Detention Center. Further details are unknown.
