Japan: Poster Exhibition Exposes Organ Harvesting Atrocities in Communist China

(Minghui.org) A poster exhibition entitled “Life, Human Rights, and Organ Robbery” was held at Towerhall Funabori in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo from February 17 to 19, 2023. The exhibition exposes the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting atrocities. The organizer hopes that more people help stop organ harvesting atrocities and the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Ms. Ida, the organizer of this exhibition, said that the purpose of holding the international poster exhibition in Japan is to let more Japanese people learn about the persecution of Falun Dafa, and the CCP’s organ harvesting from practitioners for profit. The exhibition also appeals to the Japanese people to help stop the CCP’s crimes.

It was estimated that in 2016, 192,000 organ transplants were performed in China within a year. The source of the organs were Falun Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained. After Falun Dafa was suppressed by the CCP on July 20, 1999, a large number of practitioners in China were detained and their whereabouts were unknown.

Practitioner Mr. Mu hopes that more people will learn about organ harvesting atrocities in China. 

Mr. Mu, a Falun Dafa practitioner, said, “Fifteen years ago, when we first told about such cruel things happening in China, very few Japanese believed it. The book Bloody Harvest illustrates the real situation of live organ harvesting in China and has been recognized around the world.” He said, “I hope people can learn the truth about the CCP’s live organ harvesting in China through the poster exhibition.”

Ms. Ida, the organizer, said that many people attended the exhibition and watched the video exposing the CCP’s crime of live organ harvesting. They thanked practitioners for allowing them to learn the truth through this activity.

A young man intently looked at the posters. He said that he received the flyer in his mailbox. Because he did dialysis work in a hospital he was interested in the topic and came to the exhibition. He said that when he heard about live organ harvesting in China, “I was shocked. It was brutal.”

After Akiko viewed the posters she said, “In China, after you call the hospital and say you want to do an organ transplant, it only takes a week to find a matching organ. It’s too cruel, what they do to make this happen.”

She also watched the video and said, “I will come again tomorrow. I want to tell my friends about such an important matter.” 

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
