As a Fire Raged, Strong Wind Suddenly Changed Direction

(Minghui.org) On a bus with over 20 passengers, people were talking about news from different places. One of them was about a woman in Shihuiyao Village surnamed Li.

“You know what? Falun Dafa really helped her a lot!” said one passenger. “In the past her head was always scrunched down into her neck and her shoulders were rounded.”

“What do you mean she had rounded shoulders?” someone asked.

“She was a hunchback,” another person replied, mimicking the condition.

One after another, these people talked about Li. Her mother died when she was a child, and the poor girl had bronchitis, heart disease, a stomach ailment, and asthma. Not only that, she was a hunchback and married someone eight years older, who also had many ailments.

After she married, her life was even worse. Sometimes her mother-in-law beat her because the pig escaped its pen. One time, her mother-in-law could not find a towel and blamed her. After an aunt said she had taken it, Li repeated that she was innocent, only to have her husband’s younger brother slap her in the face. For no reason, Li’s mother-in-law took her quilt away. When Li wanted to get it back, her mother-in-law grabbed her hair and pulled so hard that some of it came out. Given her situation, Li decided to end her life by drinking insecticide, but she stopped at the last minute, thinking about how much her two daughters would suffer without her.

“But now everything has changed,” one person explained. “Li is no longer a hunchback and she looks great.”

“Not only that, she now lives in Beijing with her second daughter, who has a good job and makes lots of money. No one would have imagined that poor Li would one day have such a happy life.”

The person these passengers were talking about was me, a woman from the countryside who gained a new lease on life because of Falun Dafa. In fact, all my ailments mentioned above disappeared within two months after I began to practice Dafa. As I followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a better person, everything around me changed. My story is one of the villagers’ favorite topics, and they recount it at home, in the fields, and on the bus.

Like tens of millions of other Falun Dafa practitioners, I have witnessed many other miracles. Below are some examples.

Only My House Was Not Flooded

One day in 2011, there was a heavy rainstorm. We only had an outdoor toilet (many homes in the countryside have toilets outside in the yard), and my daughter needed to go. She was hesitant because it was pouring but decided to go anyway.

Just as she walked out the door, she called, “Mom! The water is coming! The house will be flooded!” She and I quickly filled two large bags of sand and stacked them outside the back door.

Later on, we heard that every house in the village had flooded in the sudden, heavy rain. My home was the only exception. In my heart, I thanked Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, for protecting us.

Wind Suddenly Changed Direction

In 2012, I heard a neighbor calling me, “Hurry! The woodpile is on fire!” I went out, saw the fierce flames, and called my other neighbors for help.

Seeing the fire rage, I pressed my palms together in front my chest and said, “Master, I need help. It is a north wind and all the wood in the pile will quickly catch fire. Can you help change it to a south wind?” With that thought, the wind suddenly changed direction, and several of us housewives put out the fire in a short time.

“Li, what is going on?” one neighbor asked me, confused. “How come the wind changed direction instantly?”

“I begged Falun Dafa’s Master for help,” I replied. “I am so thankful.”

My Son-in-Law

In the spring of 2012, my first son-in-law went to fertilize the fields. When he got there, he forgot to set the brake. Somehow, the donkey got spooked and started to run, dragging the wagon behind it. Both the donkey and the wagon fell into a deep ditch.

Seeing no one else around, my son-in-law was beside himself. Nonetheless, he called out as loudly as he could for help.

Suddenly, five strong young men came running down the hill. By working together, they dragged the donkey and wagon out in a short while.

“Mom, I don’t understand how that happened,” my son-in-law later told me. “They came at just the right time—like angels. I did ask them who they were and they said they were in the area to check electricity. But how come I’d never seen them before?! I know this is a benefit from your practicing Falun Dafa. It is just like what you said, ‘...with one person practicing, the whole family benefits.’ (“Teachings at the Conference in Australia”)”

From the bottom of my heart, I was grateful to Master Li and Falun Dafa.
