France: Principles of Falun Dafa Praised by Event Attendees in Paris

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in the Arts et Métiers neighborhood, located in the 3rd arrondissement in Paris on January 27, 2023. They set up a booth, demonstrated the exercises, and talked to people about Falun Dafa. The district is home to one of the largest populations of Chinese in Paris.

Informational flyers in Chinese and French, The Epoch Times newspaper and the article How Humankind Came To Be, written by Master Li Hongzhi, were also available. Many people signed the petition to end the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution of Falun Dafa in China. 

Vanessa, a college student, said she knew about the persecution, and that Falun Dafa practitioners adhere to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She signed the petition and said, “Everyone should know about this persecution.”

Locals signed the petition and said they supported efforts to end the persecution.

Daniel is a sales representative in a luxury store. He was interested in Falun Dafa and hoped he could find inner peace and a clearer mind by practicing the exercises.

Nora, a civil servant who works in accounting said, “Falun Dafa is beneficial to one’s health. It relaxes my mind and heart. We need this practice amid this challenging society. It should not always be about manufacturing and consuming, but instead one should self-reflect. This is being responsible to society.”

Mathieu, a gardener, was shocked to learn about the persecution and organ harvesting atrocities. He said, “I do not have words to say! This persecution needs to end immediately! We are in Europe and we can see clearly how these people are being persecuted. Chinese people are forced to believe the nonsense created by the CCP. They are completely brainwashed by the CCP. It is obvious that the CCP is a corrupt regime.”

Mitache Iordana, an accountant, said, “Forced live organ harvesting is terrible! How can this be possible?! No matter what happens, human beings do not have the right to murder other human beings. This is forbidden by god. This atrocity needs to be made known to the whole world.” 

Déborah is a fashion designer. “I’m very interested in learning more about Falun Dafa. I am searching for a way to become a better person.” She said that knows about the lives in the universe and thinks that the earth is changing. She said, “I will do my best to change my negative thinking into something positive, the terrible thoughts into something beautiful and bright.”

Janine, 85, said, “The CCP regime is a disaster. The regime’s coercive approach is very concerning and I do not know how it will end. We care about freedom of speech and freedom of belief in China.”

Bernard, a retired doctor, and his two daughters passed by the booth. He said he knew about the persecution and had seen Shen Yun. He told his daughters, “Shen Yun performances display five thousand years of China’s traditions and history. It showcases what can be achieved and also the extraordinary. We should show our respect towards it. We need to realize and support the spirit of practitioners who uphold this wisdom, culture, and this spiritual practice.” He continued, “Upholding Chinese traditions is very important.”

Locals living in the district praised practitioners’ courage for being there and exposing the CCP’s crimes. Many locals supported practitioners and encouraged them to persist so that more people can learn the truth about Falun Dafa. 

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
